Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help. I am probably going to end up tearing apary my 360 again... but here goes. I have the nme 1.2 installed on a sammy drive. Install went well and the first game backup i made worked flawlessly. Then after a few times it came up to the "please insert this into a xbox 360" screen. The xbox 360 registered it as a "dvd". I know the iso is good to go. The nme website www.nme-360.com said its a bad layer break or security sector or both. Thats totally BS because it loaded before. After I installed the chip a few weeks later the website says that i have to solder another ground onto the chip to put it in "samsung" mode. I am eventually going to do this. But i would like to know if this is going to fix my problem and if anyone else is experiencing similar problems. I've also moved me xbox 360 2500 miles in a car. But when i got to where i was going it worked fine again... so i think thats irrelevant. But i didn't want to count out all the possibilities. Thanks for your time and help

Barry

Hi Barry,

Have you checked over all your soldier points??
You dont have a bad one do you??

Personally im starting to suggest firmware over any modchip as they are just too much work.. I have a modchip myself and am not too happy with its features compared to all the new firmware releases.

Yes, I checked all the solder points... Point "I" was the problem its very hard to get to soldered and stay in place. Also i found out that the wires might have been pinched. If you have problems with any chip definetely check the wires i have learned that.
