So has anyone actually seen the setup that is standard on 360??
Personally i dont get alot of time to myself to go hunting this type of info.. Does it come standard in all REGIONS with HDTV support or just NTSC like the original??

I know that the ntsc premium edition will come standard with component video cables, and I've heard that every game is going to be in 720p or 1080i resolution, no games will be in 480p or 480i. It seems like by that every game in every region will be in true highdef.

Thought I saw it was going to have support for an HDMI cable (which you can convert to DVI from there). But I don't think the premium HDTV cable will have anything but the component cables. The HDMI was going to be released later, IIRC, but I may have been just dreaming.

The words going around are no digital HDTV signals out of the 360 unless M$ sees a huge demand for it. There will be a VGA cable, but no DVI/HDMI.

Personally I'd absolutely love a HDMI connection, as my tv only has 1 HD input other than the HDMI and that's a VGA port. I have normal component inputs but it can only handle 480p won't handle 720p or 1080i Sad. So I have to use a switcher.

I am pretty sure that you can use only HDMI OR Component,
so, you would need a switchbox anyway. I was looking all over
for something to allow me to have multiple HD imputs to
my Mitsubishi. After checking all of the high end options, it
looked like I was going to have to spend around $1500 for this
ability. While in a Game Crazy, I stumbled across a Game
switchbox which does exactly what I was looknig for. It was
only $79 ( US ). Works great, It has ONE HD Component
output with 4 or 5 HD Imputs. Stereo sound and RJ45 for
each output as well as one or two standard outputs.
With this, I never have to change the TV setting, only the
buttons on the Switch Box. Only downside is that I have to
do it manually.

Hope this helps
Ed

While we're discussing this, If I purchase and HDTV for use with my 360, can I still watch cable on it. Obviously it will still be in standard def, or at least less than HD, but will it work, or will I have to use my HD setup seperately?

Almost all HD Sets have normal hookups too even including coaxial hookup (antennae) so you have nothing to worry about, just make sure to it hooks up with the right connector (red white and yellow = composite, small plug that looks like a keyboard/mouse = s-video, single cable with a screw on connector = coaxial, red blue green = component(aka hd).

You won't have any trouble watching your cable on your hd tv.

Btw nice to see another person from Alabama on this site, I'll be in t-town all next week gonna go to bartending school in b-ham and I have a friend who lives down there so gonna stay with him, also it's my b-day tuesday so you might see me out and about lol.
