I think that is harmless data for them to know about how many people are in the room. So what. Like video, Kinect will never be sending audio streams continually either. Now computational data streams? Of course it will. What's wrong with that? That needs to happen for all the things to happen doesn't it? I do not see them controlling anyone's lives with the Kinect. They won't be controlling me. I can understand if you are not comfortable with the interactive nature of the Kinect. It is a little odd at first, it was real strange when I first got Kinect 1 and it followed me around turning left and right and up and down. Was freaky at first.

Now if you think the government is behind the Kinect then maybe there is something to fear. There some movie like that Shocked

btw it seems xboxlive was hacked 6 months ago as reported this week.

xbox live was not hacked, some accounts were by social engineering and lame passwords of the users. That happens all the time because of lame passwords. My account was never in jeopardy, hopefully it stays that way. You can't protect an account with a password like 'scoobydoo' or 'password'. This is nothing like the PSN hacking were hundreds of thousands of accounts were compromised. Once again that is a false story. 47 million accounts were never hacked on xbox live

Well the original 48,000,000 stolen account hacking was a hoax like I was saying but who knows about the ex-employee possible hacking. O_o Many employees of many companies have the power to do crap like that.

Heck, some web hosting accounts get hacked, that doesn't mean the host or even the server is hacked. Stupid passwords are a big problem and on web sites exploitable scripts are hacked too. Still the host is not compromised and if security is well done on the server the site is on, the server and other accounts would not be hacked either.

yeah something posted today, the file was debunked but a new article today showed screenshots, idk, can almost guarantee live has been hacked, there is no computer around today thats unhackable, encryption, sure but any machine can be broken. i cant find the article again yet i only skim read it. its off topic anyway as current live service is nothing to do with xboxOnes.
