Hi, every guy, I hope I have posted at the right place; I’m a fresh guy to here. Yesterday, my brother take his XBOX 360 to my home, however my external USB hard disk is formatted as NTFS (like most of yours) and the player could not recognize it, therefore I have to search for help through Google, finally, I find there’s a software called NTFS to FAT32 Converter. From its description it said that it could assist me convert my hard disk from NTFS to FAT32 without losing data, it sounds perfect, unfortunate, and its free edition could only support 8GB partition for testing. And I have also tested it works well. I’m not sure if it could solve my problem or not (my external HDD is 1TB).I want to know is there any body who has used such kind of software. Thanks a not. If I have post at the wrong place, please move it to the right one, Sorry for bringing so much trouble to the Administrator.[/url]

Ive never used that specific program, but I am very doubtful of a program being able to format a drive with no data loss. I use Partition Wizard Pro to format drives, works great and the free version of it does a nice job as well

Hi, thanks for your kind suggestion, I know there's a lot of partition software could assist me format partition from NTFS to FAT32, but if I do this, all of my data would be lost, or I have to copy them out before I format it, I just do not want to loss my data.

Try this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=24E8B0WZ It will do upto 2tb. But be careful as there arnt really any safe guards to keep you from formatting your primary hdd. As far as saving your data, just copy what you want saved over to your computer to a folder and then back to the external after its formated.

Hmmm, very curious on this works. Technically, it can't without data corruption of some sort. The only way I can see this being done is to partition the empty space on your hard drive, and do a byte to byte transfer onto the new partition as the first part is being formatted properly for fat/fat32. On the fly so to speak. I would assume the less empty space on the drive will impact performance on re-allocating the drive.
