Hi Guys,

Ive trawled and trawled the net for an answer and nothing doing.
My new seagate 320gb external harddrive is already formatted with FAT32 and yet my xbox wont recognise it - The hard drive recognises its been connected to something ok as you can hear it starting up when you connect it but the xbox doesnt see it.

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it is not formatted as FAT32 by default because they don't format drives over 31.9GB's. Windows won't allow a device over 31.9GB's to be formatted FAT32 due to the cluster size and what not, although we do have methods to formatting the drive FAT32 anyways. Try reformatting the device FAT32 with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and tell me how that goes.

FAT32 sucks, the files cant be larger than 4gb and the speed is not the best, however NTSF for example is not recognized in the xbox360 but there is a similar MAC format that is.

You can check our tutorial section, there is a tutorial of how to do that
