Alright maggots, this is your sergeant speaking. I want you to review to following rules of engagement.
Rules of Engagement are:
With AA guns. I noticed people trying to hit planes and aiming right at the plane in the air. What you want to do is lead the plane. I don't mean just a little bit I mean really put those crosshairs way in front of the plane.
You have to judge speed And Distance and the slow rate of speed of the AA ammo. So what I do is keep leading until I see it hit. Start at the plane, then lead a bit, shoot and keep shooting while pulling further infront of the plane.
Another tip which I've noticed people doing and I've noticed people not doing. Wait for people when driving a vehicle. I'm not saying if you don't see anyone around but most of the time, if you get into a jeep or tank and start driving, someone spawning up right at that moment may want to jump in. In this game , it's always better to take more people into a base with you. This is ESPECIALLY important for U boats. Leaving your team is only going to get you killed.
Tanks. The back of the tank is more vulnerable to explosions and especially bazooka hits. Pretty simple and common but just in case.
Mine the roads. I don't know if you noticed but most of the spots on these islands are hard to get to without driving on the road that leads there. The team that has that base should be mining the road for jeeps/tanks.
Because of the larger type maps and smaller, further targets then games like COD, it's better to really lead your cross hairs in front of the target for long range shooting. Again common sense but you never know.
Defending. Unlike some flag based games, Defending is extremely important in battlefield games. If you haven't noticed , you get bonus points for killing someone in your captured base. Sometimes you get in a mode where you cap a flag and run to the next. If you have 4 flags out of 5, don't bother following the whole army into that one base.
Yea it's good to cap it, but the whole team doesn't need to go. Some people should sit back and pluck people from afar or set up demolitions.I've seen alot of bases get taken by a lone parachuting pilot jumping out of his plane to get that base. Me included.
Some of this is common sense but people new to the game may not realize some simple, but important tips. If you have any, please, keep the thread going. Also, anyone looking to play look me up , I'll squad up with ya. I like team play more then lone wolfing it so lets do some damage!
when you're alone at a flag and you see an enemy coming to cap it, don't run out to meet him. think about how you would cap the flag, and then the best way to counter that.
everyone tries to cap flags from inside a building, sitting in a corner if they can. knife 'em or blow up their buildings. also, when you cap, don't go to that same corner, so that people can't use this knowledge on you.
spot enemies. all you have to do is hold them in your crosshair for a second or two. it'll put a marker on the map and your teammates will destroy them.
one man can take a spawn if you're crafty. don't enter a base on the road, and use melee to stay stealthy.
expacks stick to jeeps, turning them into speeding anti-tank mines. you know what to do.
expacks also stick to airplanes. sometimes this is a better way to ensure that your planes aren't stolen.
if an ally is in a tank, repair it for him! i don't know if they give you points for it in this game, but it's only going to benefit your team to have a working tank.
the infantry gun is more accurate when you fire in bursts. tap the trigger instead of holding it down.
B switches packs. use it. just because you spawn infantry doesn't mean you have to try to blast a man on a hill a click away with a tommy gun when there's a perfectly good sniper pack on the ground next to you.
anti-air guns don't have to be used on airplanes. if a tank's rolling into your base, by all means, flak him into the afterlife.
if you can crouch when you shoot, you should. it makes you a harder target, and probably makes you more accurate too (although I haven't played 1943 enough to know for certain).
If in a squad, press Y to switch between spawning on a flag or squad member. When spawning on a squad member, there will be a small green box around him in the spawn screen to let you know exactly where he is and if you want to spawn there. This is helpful because at first i couldnt tell where my squadmates were and would end up spawning on them when they are a mile out to sea trying to swim in lol. Also, when choosing who to spawn on in a squad, you will see a 3rd person view of him before you spawn so you can tell if hes being shot at. Make sure not to spawn on him if hes being outnumbered by enemies, or else you end up spawing and dying right away. However, if you see him getting shot and think you can help him or save him, dont hesitate. Spawn immediatly and maybe youll save his life
If you are kamikazy bombing by throwing TNT on a car and driving it near a tank to blow it up, make sure you throw the TNT in a place where it wont be shot by an enemy. My favorite place to throw it is where your feet go when you drive the jeep, because it stays conceled. Reason for this is that if the TNT is shot by an enemy it will blow up, so if you strap it to the front of your car, you may be blown up involuntarily before you even reach your target.
If you really want to fly, then help your team out by getting the jet in the beggining of the match, flying to the airfield and parachuting out, capturing the airfield, and then get the plane at the airfield. There, now you helped cap a flag fast and you can still fly. I got this tip form another thread.
You can shoot a bazooka and then immediatly switch to your SMG w/o having to wait for the reload animation to happen before pulling out your main gun. It will slowly reload itself. Same goes for the grenade launcher.
You can sprint while reloading, and your gun will still reload just fine.
The initial stab of a melee attack going from any weapon straight to melee seems to have less registration than stabbing after the melee weapon is already out. So if you plan on meleeing, pull out your melee weapon before going after someone instead of meleeing straight from your gun. To test this, try meleeing the "shooting range" targets with the initial melee, and then with normal melee's. Youll see what i mean.
You can repair AA guns with your wrench as long as they arent completely blown up.

I wish EA would get this server crap fixed up, why in the hell don't they have auto balance so we won't have uneven teams?? If you are a night owl like me your in deep trouble, most of the matches I played last night were like 8 on 3 or 11 on 4, wtf!!! They should add a couple of smaller maps and maybe limit the number of servers late at night so you can have 12 on 12 matches.. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.3

Hobbs has told me to try this game out and it took all of one round in demo to make me buy it, love this game and it funny that you say common sense for most of your tips since 9 out of ten of the things you listed is what i did from the get go.
One tip i would add is in the few rounds i have played you notice lots of guys don't use there grenades, if your running to a flag to cap it then for gods sake man Chuck them grenades in to the buildings and around the flag as you run up on it.
Thanks for the heads up on this game Hobbs, i love it.
