My 360 motherboard recently died and I dont have the time nor patience to mess with it. So I need a working unbanned 360 motherboard. I have a working hitachi dvd drive so I just need a board. _________________________________________________________

You would need the dvd drive too because you cant just put your old one in it, it wont work that way. _________________________________________________________

Why wouldnt his dvd drive work with the new motherboard all he would need to do is spoof it with the new key (applying that the new mobo comes with a key if not then yes you need the dvd drive for that mobo if it does come with a key then i see really no problem to spoof it and that they call it) for the new mobo and flash it if he wants the f/w mod or what not. I plan on spoofing the firmware it reallly doesnt matter you can change the dvd drive just as long as you dont want to go on live. You only have have to spoof when going on live. _________________________________________________________

He could. I took it as i already have a dvd drive so i dont need the one that was on the mobo before. _________________________________________________________

I was kind of curious, being in the same boat... two of my 360's died, but the drives are still good, so is it possible to use the spoofing technique to use these drives on another mobo? Also, is it possible to do this without the original dvd keys?

You need the orignal dvd keys for the new mobo that you are trying to get if not nothing will work and you will have a xbox 360 Dvd Player
I would look on craigslist people are selling xbox 360s with games and everything that only a couple months old for like $250 60gb harddrive ones. I can get these all day for this price _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

That is truly a shame. The irony is that I repaired two other consoles from the RROD (I developed a new system, much cleaner and easier than the Llama fix, and slightly more evasive), just to make them into high end dvd players. LOL. Such is life, I guess.
By the way, has anyone heard about the Globe 360/Globe 360 II Mod Chip, or tried it yet? Supposedly, it bypasses the key ID, but I'm not sure what all that would entail, or if its plug and play (which I'm doubting). I'm pretty interested in seeing if it does what it says.

I never saw someone selling a 360 motherboard so i would say you wont get one pretty easy
