Has anyone heard of a sequel to Oblivion being announced or rumored? Surely they will be coming out with a sequel or at least some more downloadable goodness! _________________________________________________________
I'll take a wild guess and say The elders scrolls V will be the next game in the series _________________________________________________________

From the research I have done, It is for sure going to happen. It should already have been in development as when the 4th was released the company said once Oblivion was released they would split the employees into 3rds, 1/3 doing patch work for Oblivion, 1/3 working expansions for oblivion and 1/3 to start the development of Elder scrolls V, this was in 2006. But no one has come forward to say " yes it is being made right now" so yes there will be another but it may be some time before we get to see it..
I think there will only be 6 or 7 games in the series, because they are running out of lands to make games out of (4 of lands have been used so far, and i think there is 7). _________________________________________________________

They would be crazy not to release another Oblivion after how well it did. Right now they are busy with Fallout 3 which looks good.
After they do a game on each of the lands, on the next 360 they should do a giant game with all the lands in the world, all the PC mods and multi-player. Ya thats another reason its gona take a while, I read that they will only work on one game at a time and they are still on Fall out 3, so even if they have some story boards and Ideas for number 5, I bet they have not started to write the first line of code yet.
