But still we have that drought and we are pumping all our water down to the coast and we only get half of what we collect. We need the rain to keep up so we aint as dry as well. Last winter it didnt rain the best either. I swear summer has more rain. But still my point is we still have a drought and my nan's place has level 4 restrictions and my dads dam at Dondingalong is empty so he needs it bad aswell and its only 3 hours North of Newcastle.

Lake Lanier is so dry people are driving there 4 wheelers in there now. Smile On a serious note, we have been getting lots of rain here in the ATL as of late and the water levels are rising in Lake Lanier and Lake Alatoona. It still hasn't changed the fact that we have water bans in almost every county outside the Atlanta metro area, last year people were only allowed to water depending on there street address, even numbers watered one day and odd numbers on another day. Confused

But still its bad enough and it could turn for the worst again. Its improving but still has to improve more and more water dont mean its fixing all the pollution that needs to be fixed. Look at how many people drive around to get to places. If you walk, ride or take a bus it will make our earth so much better. Can't you all see what we are doing? Destroying where we live. Even just by me using this computer and all you guys using your computer it is destroying the earth slowly.

Very true hq_hacker_girl, global air pollution is a big concern. Unfortunately for me, there is no mass transist availabe near my home so i have to drive my car to work everyday, if not you'd better believe i'd be getting to work by bus or train, these gas prices are ridiculous to say the least.. I remember when i lived in Wuerzberg, Germany walking, cycling, and public transportation was the way of life, here in Atlanta people drive an average of 10-50 miles just to get to work, that's terrible in my opinion. Overseas, recycling was a big thing as well, newspapers, glass bottles, aluminum..etc in the U.S. they keep trying to raise awareness but nobody gives a shit Sad I've made small strides in making my home more energy efficient by using energy efficient appliances also i've replaced incandescent light bulbs with the energy saving flourescent bulbs, i'm not perfect by no means but at least i'm trying..

I remember when fuel was less than a dollar but its shot up so its getting really bad. I use public transport most of the time or when im going somewhere close to my house I ride or walk depending on how I feel. I also recycle every I can even if its 1 peice of paper I will recycle it. I also turn off as much electronics as possible to save power or even if it is a light i will turn it off. The water that comes out of the washing machine is used to water the plants instead of water out of the tap and it also cuts the cost on our water bill. I do as much as I can for the earth I even go off at friends when they litter and I put their rubbish in the bin for them. So as you can see I am very protective of the earth.
