Okay, I am a newbie to the 360 boards. I have a 1 Generation Xbox that I have had modded for a couple of years now with the Xbox Media Center. My question is this: Is there a similar soft mod available for the 360? Or does the 360 come with a media center installed that can be modified? I don't have a 360 yet, but I'm close to getting on and just wanted to make sure that I can mod it. Thanks in advance for helping a noob.

not at this time does the 360 have a media center mod

but it does come with media center (windows version) and can be used as a media center extender or on its own, and with the release of the fall update most divx files are supported for a list of supported codecs in this link

also you can play all your media files off an external hard drive if you format it a certain way as said in this tutorial

but in other words the xbox 360 has not been modded or hacked in any way relating towards xbox 1 modding, nor it will be happining anytime soon.

but really if you think about theres not much need for media related hacks/mods because of how much microsoft has put into media center

Its weird, i look back at the old xbox and mod chips were out 3 months after it came out. Its been 2 years with the xbox now and all we have so far is cooling mods.

Yeah i know but people are just too scared to mod and brick their xbox 360's

or

the xbox 360 is really unhackable its really that simple.

Emulators, good apps, better dashs, able to back-up games to your hdd (would be lots of space required)>
