I've only played this game a handful of times since I got it but i'm suffering from lockups and the Eidos support forums/links are a joke.
Just wondering if anyone else is having lockup issues. Mine happens every time on the second US mission where you have a carrier and need to take out the attacking Jap boat.
About 20 mins into this section it just freezes. Seems like it happens about the same time from what I can work out, when your carrier turns to cut across the front of the islands and starts coming under attack.

Thats no good at all..
I used to always have a issue with OVER G Fighters freezing at the same point but it was achievement related.. Once i had gotten the achievement it would let me through past that.
I have'nt read any other probs with the game itself apart from that its crap.. Ive been told to steer clear of this title by many..

Thats ok hobbs, I don't think its achievement related as its one of these games thats gives them out after you have finished the level.
But it is a mighty shame as it seems a really good game, it just won't let me get into it. So I think it will be traded in later. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Is it really good?? Its just everyone i speak to has nothing nice to say about it.. That's what deter's me alot from some titles..
Let us know what you like the most about it.. I love plane games but was just thinking it was going to be a xbox 1 port to the xbox 360 or something i guess.

I think it has a mighty potential tbh hobbs. Its tricky to master as there are a hell of a lot of controls to remember or at least thats what you think as you go through training. But it ends up as pretty much each unit uses the same buttons more or less so after the shock of all the controls to remember it turned out quite easy to get going.
This is possibly where a lot of people get put off. But as for gameplay I found it rewarding and damn fun to play. Damn shame I had issues with it as its now back on the shelf in the shop and i'm at last the proud owner of a wireless headset.
But I would recommend that you hire it out for a test hobbs. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Jay is right. Midway is a very fun game. The video animation looks like it should be on a Playstation 2 but gameplay is solid. One of my problems is that on Veteren mod is HARD! Like Insane wraped in Hell mode. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

Just a update..
I only just got my copy of the game and I had exactly the same issue with it freezing on the 2nd stage roughly 20 minutes into it.. I did some tests here and it only locked up on my NTSC USA Xbox 360 Console.. It was locking up 100% of the time on the NTSC 360..
On my PAL Xbox 360 (Australian) it worked perfectly past that problem.. Then i went back to my US 360.. lmfao
anyway, I just wanted to confirm there are some major lockup issues with this game but only for certain consoles.. Not all..

Yeh the graphics are not too bad but if you look at them in HD on a great screen you will love all the detail of the guys running around the ship as you command them.. I thought it was very well done..
I agree that its very hard.. My oh my is it hard.. Im nearly finished and its taken a few days...

I played this game online for the first time the other night and got my ass handed to me.. lmfao.. It was still fun though.. Very much the same game online and offline.. So thats good.
