Ill post some scans and add some game play videos here when I get time. So, for anyone that does not have the game or just curious about the PC version... If there is anything you really want to see or want me to test, please post a request here and Ill add a video, or screen or what ever is appropriate when and if able, time permitting.

WILL BE RUNNING THE GAME ON A RIG WITH THE FOLLOWING SPECS...

Mobo: Gigabyte X58A-UD3R V2
CPU: i7 950 200x21 4.2GHz (Stock Clock)
GFX: HIS 6950 (Stock Clock)
Case: Fractal Design R3 White
PSU: NZXT Hale90 850w
HDD: Kingston SSDNow V+ 100 Series 128GB (Makes load times Short)
Cooling: Noctua NH-D14 (Love this cooler!)
Ram: 6GB Custom White Mushkin Ridgeback Ram

MONITOR....
Sadly, I am rocking a standard old school CRT so will not be able to run at max res. I will go as high as what the Monitor is capable of but will not truly be able to Max Everything 100% Only res will not be maxed, every other option in game will be set to absolute MAX. I am on air cooling but have the Noctua D14, best air cooler on the market, also with winter here in the U.S., I can keep the PC room nice and cool which means a very cool GPU and GPU.

Well after being disappointed by MW3 im thinking about getting BF3 still on my PC, but it won't be for a little while yet. I'd love to see anything and everything from the pc. How will you be setup to play, old school with keyboard and mouse, or with a wireless 360 controller like I'm thinkin.

@Hobbs..

Pure mouse and Keybord. I was playing some games then decided to hook up an Xbox Controller for playing on the PC but did not like it after playing with mouse. It is so much easier and faster to get a cross hair on target and keep it on target with a moving target with the mouse than with the controller. I think First thing I want to do is get the Mortar and Stinger unlocked.

Any screen captures or video capture will be done with MSI Afterburner. Free program and superior to Fraps in my opinion. Unlike fraps MSI does not seem to effect the frame rate. Though like fraps it still does not compress so you have to take the video later and convert it so you do not have a 1.5 GB video thats only 60 seconds long lol,

But ya, if anyone wants to see something specific, feel free to ask, Ill find a spot, test a weapon or what ever if its something you are genuinely curious about in the multiplayer. If its something in Single player I might do something for that as well, such as a walkthrough for an achievement (Only if I think I can do better than what someone else has already posted), or make it simpler. But I plan on just jumping right into the Multiplayer.

I myself am curious about how the ingame Voice chat is going to work, I have a mic so just need to figure it out and see if I get in any games where people also use the mic. Im not up to date on all the PC voice chat tech.

Any reason why you bought the game in box form instead of just buying it on Origin? Or is it not on Origin?

I wouldnt mind seeing how your temps go when recording, if it requires an OC to run at max with recording, and if at all possible if you still have FRAPS possibly see a comparison on system resources between it and Afterburner while recording. You mentioned Afterburner is free, does it require an MSI board or GPU to get it/use it or can anybody download and use it?

Did it come with a benchmark app? If it did is there any possibility of you ripping it from the disc and uploading it to PC-Hq so people can get a true idea of whether there system will support it or not.

Temps... I will do a short clip of me playing tonight with Temp showing on the screen, I have had it maxed out all night and temps staying just under 50c.

Bench Mark... I honestly do not know if there is a BF3 Benchmark. I have not seen or come across one.

I do not know how heavy exactly the game is on the GPU CPU, But I can tell you it does not seem to be any harder on it than dead island, and I can tell you that Metro 2033 is way more demanding. I deleted Dead Island from my pc already so can not do the comparison. I usually leave my fps in the game set to VSync as my monitor only does 60Hz so no since in having the FPS at 100+ But ill turn off Vsync for the comparisons.

I hope they put out a demo, even if its only a single map, if for nothing else, so people can test their systems.

OC. No, Not running my CPU or GPU over clocked, just stock clock.

FRAPS vs Afterburner.... Ill download the free fraps and test out an identical gameplay on story with FPS unlocked, then compair FPS recording with Afterburner and FRAPS. Ill try to get that tonight. Also the free Afterburner gives you full access while Fraps Limits your record times.

Afterburner... Its totally free, they are constantly putting out new versions and I think they all are called beta. The version before the one I have did not have audio recording, but this one does. The newest one is ( 2.2.0 Beta 8 )
I am not sure exactly what systems it will work with and not work with, It does have alot more than just video capture, it is also an easy to use program allowing you to customize your GPU fan speeds, set your own graphs so you can have the fan run as specific speeds at specific temps, has over clocking controlls etc.
You can get it here.... http://downloads.guru3d.com/downloadget.php?id=2799&file=1&evp=24468ff88e439eebaf5b5b32a02b20ca

NOTE. that site on the link above also has lots of great utilities and Benchmark downloads, just remember, any of the Game related Benchmarks such as Crysis bench, Lost World or what ever, require you to actually have that game installed, but there are plenty of other benchmark programs as well, such as 3Dmark.

Everything there is free, I have never gotten a bad download from there.

I will also try to maybe get some screens of the same thing side by side, Graphics all the way down vs Graphics all the way up.

The advantage of FPS and RTS on PC is the fact that you can play with a mouse and keyboard

OK, Just did a FRAPS vs AFTERBURNER test.

I tried to make a video but.... It would not really make any sense. I have MSI displaying FPS on top left of my screen, Turned on FRAPS and had it display FPS on top right.

Ok, so the plan was to record a screen capture video with MSI then turn FRAPS to record mode as well so you can see the FPS drop when I use FRAPS. But MSI will not record and show the FRAPS display and fraps will not record and show the MSI. So you will just have to take my word for the following.

OK, for this test no need to go into a special part of game, just used the main screen with graphics set to ULTRA.

Set MSI to record at 60fps, full screen 100% quality, FRAPS set up the same.

Idle FPS dances around just a little between 145-160, hovering mostly about 159, pretty constant...

I hit Record with afterburner and start video capture. FPS does not change.

Stop MSI recording now hit record with FRAPS. FPS drops to 111-119 untill I hit stop record then it jumps back up to the 159ish. range.

Later I will try screen shots and video with both to see if there is any noticeable difference with same settings, If so, I will post.
