Well bud, I know how it feels. If it wasn't for the university and college radio stations in my area the radio itself would be turned off. All the stations here change their format every two years thinking they are staying on top of things, but really they are 5 years behind and the rock station just sucks or I'm to old now to enjoy it
Get an fm transmitter, I use it for my Iphone, and it plugs into the cigarette lighter and can choose the best station with the least interference. Oh ya, it charges it too
Thought about sirrus/xm radio, but I'm too cheap.

Or you could always go ghetto and grab one of those tape adaptors from the old days for hooking CD players up to cassete radios and plug it into the headphone jack on your IPOD, and if your radio doesnt have cassete you can buy one at the Salvation Armay for like a buck
