Totally appreciate the help.

Just trying to save myself some running up and down 2 flights of stairs. I have the drums in the garage and a full on soldering station on the second floor - trial and error is a lot of running up and down - I ain't in the best of shape - so was looking for some certainty if I could get it. I will guess and try once or twice.

Thanks

OK - I give up. I know for a fact the KD8 works. I plugged the KD8 into the Purple 1/8 jack using an adapter and it worked perfect.

I tried soldering a 1/4 port in every single combination possible on every solder point that is circled - and went as far as to try other combination with other solder points (the ones that I did not trace back to the midi port) and I cannot get the KD8 to KICK on the 1/4 inch jack - even tried a new jack in case it was the jack and NOTHING.

Anyone have any ideas?

Which two points did you solder to?

Hey comp1demon

Firstly welcome to HQ Smile

First of all let me say sorry that "forahobby" has not replied.. He has only just taken on a new job and struggling to get time for the websites, let alone play his drums lol. Around the time you last posted he was still working on finishing the prototype and testing.

What me and Forahobby really need to work out is how to get the Rock Band pedals working with the GHWT controller. Did you end up finding the soldier points..?

Here's my scenario:

- Bought an ION Drum Rocker along with a 2nd Roadie-U pedal.
- Got a Double Pedal Box from www.rockbandkickbox.com (which is kick-ass btw)

Forahobby already knows how to make the ION Cymbals / Pads work with the GHWT controller, however we can't get the Rock Band Pedals to work, like mentioned here: J5 - GHWT Edition

Now, I dont want to go back to the GHWT Drum Pedals as I'm quite happy with my Roadie Pedals. All we need to do is be able to hook up my Double Pedal Box to the GHWT Controller.

Could you please help us out at all by explaining how its done?

Thanks in Advance.

DJB
