Quite a few gamers keen to get their Halo 3: ODST fix have reported that a number of copies are having disc problems. The problem seems to be particularly relevant on older 360s rather than the newer models.

Some gamers are having problems with the disc being unreadable, while others find the game is skipping. This is despite the fact that the discs are brand new and factory fresh. Some gamers have found that downloading the title to their hard-drive solves the problem, but not everyone has this ability.

Players having this issue are asked to send details about their personal experience to Test Ninja Alpha on the Bungie forums, where they'll have to do a few tests to check whether the problem is due to the game disc or the console itself.

Bungie is currently looking into the problem, which is probably a good idea seeing as though around 2 million copies of the game have already been sold.

this was reported on the plalgn.com.au site

Thanks for the info man. I had no idea they were having problems with the disks. Mine works fine so far. (Knock on wood) Didn't they have the same problem with Halo 3? I thought the case was causing the problems for Halo 3 though. I guess Bungie just needs to get their shit together huh?
