Hey folks Smile

Finally got a 360 for xmas so i thought i would put my tunes on there. Firstly i burned a cd with my tunes on and put it into the 360. It loads up, i can play any song that was on there but it wont allow me to transfer it to the HDD.

So i thought i would plug in my RJ-45 cable and transfer it over from the computer. Now i read somewhere that if you load up Windows Media Player, click library, click media share and allow media sharing, then you can transfer... I clicked on them, and funnily enough, the xbox 360 showed up to allow media sharing with it. I thought, Happy Days......

So i loaded up the 360, went onto the music section and clicked on recieve from source and yay, there was the computer showing up on the xbox Smile

I put one of my albums on WMP and even more good news, it showed up on the 360 Very Happy All was going well....

I went to play the songs or transfer them over to the HDD.... no songs there?!?!!?!?!?!?!

Also, when i do a network thingy, it finds that my computer isnt wireless so it skips the wireless bit, goes onto IP Address... waits for about 2 mins and then says failed...

Any idea's on how or why i cant transfer my tunes over to the 360?!

You can't transfer them to your 360, you can only stream them. So as long as your computer is on and connected to your 360 you can listen to all the music. You just can't transfer the music from your pc to your 360.

Nope, the 360 isn't even close to how modable it is like the xbox1 was.

As for now you can stream to your 360 just fine, and I recommend that or getting a portable hard drive. Either way works, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

Sorry, yes you can transfer it through audio CD's

All you have to do is pop in your favorite cd, then you are given the option to save it to your hard drive and then you can play it throughout the 360's dashboard or within games,

If you have any questions feel free to ask

Best Regards,

You can only transfer audio to the hdd from ORIGINAL Audio CD's..Smile
Give it a try and im sure you will get it working just fine..

It's similar to the old xbox 1 dashboard and converts them to .wma or mp3 format i believe..

Enjoy the site guys,
