A remastered version of Sam & Max Save The World is now available on the Microsoft Store for Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S.
In 2006, the comic book crime-fighting duo Sam & Max starred in the first full-fledged episodic game from Telltale, the studio that went on to make The Walking Dead and Batman: The Enemy Within.
Now everyone's favorite dog and rabbity-thing are back in Sam & Max Save the World Remastered, a new version of their first season of episodic games that has been lovingly updated by a small group of the original developers with the blessing of Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell.
Return to the adventure game that was once called "gaming's first sitcom" and is today known as "the remaster you didn't know you were waiting for." With enhanced graphics, five new musical tracks, and the same brain-tickling puzzles and offbeat humor that won it IGN's Best Adventure GOTY award back in the day, Sam & Max Save the World Remastered is a modern classic that you'll love to play—or play again.
Sam is a six-foot canine detective with a love of justice. Max is a hyperkinetic rabbity-thing with a taste for mayhem. Together, they're the Freelance Police. And they're about to save the world. It's just another day at the office when the Commissioner calls in with a disturbing report: former child stars are running amok in the street! What starts as an open-and-shut case of idiotic vandalism balloons into an all-out conspiracy as Sam and Max encounter one miscreant after another who have been mysteriously hypnotized. (You can tell from the "spinny thing" they do with their eyes.) Who's the source of this malfeasance, and what is their dastardly plan? Cracking this case will require Sam's nose for detective work, Max's lack of conscience, an assortment of inventory items, and a little help from neighbors Sybil Pandemik, Bosco, and Jimmy Two-Teeth. From Sam & Max's street to the White House lawn, inside the internet, and all the way to the moon, this baffling mystery gets weirder and funnier as it unfolds.
Sam & Max Save The World is available to purchase on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles for $19.99.
Zombie games are more than just enjoying gore and violence. They are about fighting for humanity and working as a team with other gamers. Here is a list of 5 of our favorite zombie games.
World War Z
I hate fast-moving zombies as much as anyone else, but there is just something about World War Z we cannot get enough of. Maybe it’s the group player option that makes it feel like you are teaming on the zombies together than trying to fight out of it alone. Try it out and see what you think!
Resident Evil 2
If you are looking for a spine chilling game, then Resident Evil 2 is the one for you. It will take you through Racoon City where you can encounter and defeat the countless ravenous zombies. The game’s great camera angles will add to your heightened experience of the game.
State of Decay
This one is for those of you who like to be the gang leader on the mission to save the world. In this game you get to lead the team as you fight off the undead. You get to choose your own team and trade goods and run the whole show.
Plants vs Zombies
This game is great if you want something more light-hearted and less bloody and gory. The aim of the game is to protect your garden from invading zombies. It might not be as bloody pumping and nerve-wracking as other zombie games, but it sure is addictive. You have been warned!
State of Decay 2
Sequel to State of Decay. This game reminds us of the Walking Dead where you get to build barricades to protect the innocent and then go out with your team to scavenge for food and resources.
If you decide to have a change from playing zombie games, you can check out the fun and exciting casino games like these on Casimba. You will get amazing graphics and sounds to entertain can be exciting. Even better is that you will be in a chance to win some amazing jackpot prizes depending on the game you decide to play. Whether you continue playing on your games console or you prefer to play on a handheld tablet, you will be sure to enjoy the wide choice of games that have been made available to you.
The Kickstarter campaign for EVERSPACE 2, the new open-world space shooter from independent Hamburg-based developer ROCKFISH Games, started today with a base funding goal of 450,000 EUR (493,000 USD) and is set to end on November 4, 2019.
The official successor to the studio debut and surprise hit EVERSPACE - a title with over one million units sold, and also financed by a successful Kickstarter campaign with more than EUR 420,000 in 2015 - will completely surpass its predecessor in both quality and scope. Instead of the previous roguelike game mechanics, the focus in EVERSPACE 2 will be on open-world gameplay combined with classic RPG elements and extended storytelling.
Thanks to the expanded perks and a brand new class-based player ship system with dozens of models, players can also fully customize their spaceship to their individual playing style with weapons, plating, and equipment, similar to classic RPG character development. Despite all the innovations, EVERSPACE 2 remains true to its space shooter core and presents fast-paced space combat in the well-known EVERSPACE style.
Hello! I’m Matt, one of the co-founders of Mixer and engineering lead on the platform at Microsoft. Huge welcome to all of you new visitors who are checking out Mixer today for the very first time. We think we have something pretty special here, and are excited to share it with you.
Those of you who are already a part of our community….you’ve probably noticed a lot of changes today, starting with the name. Today marks a big evolution of our interactive live-streaming platform and a new name for the service: Mixer. But, more than just the name, we’re launching several of the features that you all have been asking for. Features that will unlock a whole new world of possibilities for social streaming, and help viewers find the content they’re looking for across the service.
Why the name change? This was a tough decision, and not one that we made lightly. But, it was something that we decided on as a team. We believe so much in the power of the platform and want to grow it in every major market around the world. Unfortunately, that wasn’t something we could do with the Beam name. We chose Mixer as our new name because it represents what we love most about the service….how it brings people together.
It brings people together through the core experience and “special sauce” that our fans already know and love: the ability to not just watch streams, but to also interact with streamers and play together in near real-time. In other words, Mixer is livestreaming that’s actually LIVE, compared to the 10 – 20 second latency you typically get on other platforms. What’s more, viewers can actively participate in what’s happening on screen instead of just watching from the sidelines. With Mixer, you can influence everything from quest selection to tools to movement, mixing it up with your favorite streamers to create a new kind of gaming experience. The Minecraft team is experimenting with the interactivity that Mixer offers as a possibility for official game integration. And, some Minecraft community members have already created interactive experiences using this technology that allow viewers to do things like spawn in zombies or change the weather.
This gets to the heart of what Mixer means for us. We want to empower gamers and everyone who wants to share their passion – whatever it may be – to create and share more easily than ever before across PC, console and mobile. Mixer represents our vision for the next generation of multiplayer – watching and participating alongside your friends in gameplay streaming from anywhere in the world.
