3goo and Dimps announced that The Rumble Fish 2 willl be releasing on December 8th, as well as announcing that a physical Collector's Edition including The Rumble Fish original arcade game is on the way.
The Rumble Fish is a 2D fighting game. The arcade version was developed in 2004. The arcade version of The Rumble Fish 2 came out in 2005, introducing new game mechanics and characters. It gained popularity with its sleek 2D visuals powered by S.M.A. (Smooth Model Animation), fascinating characters and strategic gameplay using 2 types of gauges. The game series has a cult following and is still played in tournaments. Worth noting the series has never been released outside of Japan. This will also be the first time The Rumble Fish 2 makes the move to PC.
Alongside the digital launch of the game, fans of the cult-classic will be able to order the physical Collector’s Edition of the The Rumble Fish 2, which will include The Rumble Fish Original Arcade version of the game. The Rumble Fish Original Arcade Version will be a faithful port of Atomiswave Version and will be exclusive to the physical Collector’s Edition retail version. The Collector’s Edition will first be available in Japan from December 8, 2022 and then for the rest of the world at a later date.
