Wired Productions (@WiredP) and Angry Demon Studio (@AngryDemonGames) have unveiled the origin story and the main characters of Gori: Cuddly Carnage (@GoriCarnage), the upcoming brutal hack 'n' slasher. Revealed through the eyes and mouth of a synthetic hoverboard (and Gori’s best friend, F.R.A.N.K!), players are introduced to the back story and the complete lineup of reluctant heroes, tasked with saving the galaxy.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage ticks a lot of boxes. Play as a badass murder-kitty on a death-dealing hoverboard in Gori: Cuddly Carnage, a third-person ‘skate ‘n’ slash’ set in a neon-glowing futuristic world filled with intense destruction and fast-paced combat. Think Tony Hawk’s meets Stray, with a bit of Dead Rising thrown in and you’re somewhere close.

Finnish studio, Makea Games, has secured €1.3m in its pre-seed funding round, led by Play Ventures. In making this announcement, it also revealed its first title, Supermoves, due for release on Console and PC in 2023.
Led by Play Ventures, and Business Finland, experienced angel investors also participated in the financing round of the game studio, which was established in February 2022. The round was completed in August 2022 - just six months after the company was founded.
The funding enables the Tampere, Finland -based development team to be strengthened with top talent and allows the first title Supermoves to be launched to the international market.

Easy Day Studios announced the debut of the first-ever Skater XL Tampa Pro Esports Contest. The special esports event will be held in collaboration with the real-world Tampa Pro skateboarding competition - the world's most respected and longest-running skateboarding contest. In line with Skater XL's commitment to expression and innovation, this will be the first time an esports competition will take place alongside a traditional skateboarding competition.

Altogether, Raccoon Logic’s co-founders have held key positions at the likes of Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and WB Games amongst others, with the studio backed by a pivotal investment from Chinese tech firm Tencent. Combined, it should ensure Raccoon Logic’s as-of-yet unannounced debut project will have both the tools and talent it needs.
