2008 was a banner year for Xbox LIVE Arcade titles and were going to kick off the Second Annual Arcade Awards on March 3rd. The cool thing is this year, you get to cast your votes directly on your Xbox 360 within NXE.
The voting starts on Tuesday, March 3 at 2:00 A.M. Pacific Time (10:00 A.M. GMT), and ends Tuesday, March 10 at 3:59 P.M. PT (11:59 P.M. GMT).

How to Vote
1. From your Xbox LIVE console, locate the Arcade Awards Voting Application slot in the Spotlight or Game Marketplace channel, and then press A to download the application.
2. Once the application has finished downloading, launch the application in either of the following ways:
In Spotlight or Game Marketplace, navigate to the slot image that now says Vote Now instead of Download Now, and then press A.
In your Game Library, browse Game Demos and Trials to locate and launch the application.;
3. Select your favorite arcade game in any or all of the nine different categories, and then select the appropriate button below:
To vote, press A.
To view game screenshots, press X.
To download the game demo, press Y.
To exit, press B.
Winners will be announced by Major Nelson and posted at Xbox.com.

“Schizoid” comes to Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT). "Schizoid" is the first Xbox Live Arcade game to be developed using Microsoft's XNA Game Studio technology.
“Schizoid” is a fast and furiously paced action game with simple, intuitive gameplay. Billed as “the most co-op game ever,” reflexes and smarts are key but sharp teamwork pays off even more! Ram your way through waves of glowing enemies: single player with an AI bot helper; or co-op multiplayer with two players offline or online through Xbox LIVE. “Schizoid” features over 120 challenging levels of mayhem that will appeal to casual and hardcore gamers alike. For the brave player, “Schizoid” offers the intense Uberschizoid game mode, in which a single player controls two different ships at the same time.
Developed by Torpex Games, “Schizoid” will be available worldwide for 800 Microsoft Points and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

EXIT - Taito
An addictive, frenzied puzzle game, “EXIT” has players using their decision-making skills and wits to escape numerous obstacles, while rescuing people from more than 100 different emergencies. Players must save as many lives as possible while finding the fastest way out when “EXIT” arrives on Xbox LIVE Arcade by the end of the year.
Ikaruga - Treasure Co. Ltd.
“Ikaruga” is a quick-paced shooter with strong strategy elements featuring a slow-motion training mode and co-op play for two.2 Available soon for download from Xbox LIVE Arcade, “Ikaruga” is the perfect combination of beautiful, manga-style storytelling and refined, ultra-challenging arcade heroics.

Rez - Q Entertainment
“Rez,” the legendary action-shooter created by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, is coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade. A fast-moving, wire-frame adventure backed by industrial beats, the story of “Rez” takes players deep into the world’s computer network, where they must hack the system, altering the visual output and even taking over the music, creating their own rhythms and eye candy as they dig deeper into the dreamlike cyberworld.
Triggerheart Exelica - Warashi
A shoot’em-up game where players battle against hordes of enemy ships, “Triggerheart Exelica” dynamically adjusts the difficulty to match a player’s skill level. “Triggerheart Exelica” launches on Xbox LIVE Arcade this year.

"Schizoid,” from independent studio Torpex Games, is the first Xbox LIVE Arcade game to be created with XNA™ Game Studio. Debuting on Xbox LIVE Arcade later this year, “Schizoid” is an action-packed game focused on co-op gameplay2 in which players smash barrages of glowing enemies while cooperating closely to protect each other.
