The Best Games For Xbox

The Best Games For Xbox

Xbox 360, developed by Microsoft, was first released on November 22nd, 2005, inevitably dominating gaming. Since the release, over 70 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold globally. This number is not surprising since Xbox 360 had some of the most highly rated games of all time. The vast library offers over 1000 games that still hold up quite well even today, with all the newer consoles and flashier games around.

The Best Games For Xbox

Our Five Best Xbox Games

This November, the Xbox 360 will turn 15 years old. As these years have gone by, there has been much debate on the best games the Xbox 360 offered. Based on our own experience, here are the top five most legendary games that provide endless hours of fun to gamers worldwide even today.

Red Dead Redemption

1. Red Dead Redemption

Released on May 21st, 2010, this game took a whopping seven years to produce. The game shipped 8.5 million copies in its first year, and over 11 million copies by August 2011. Awarded VGX Game of the Year in 2010, Red Dead Redemption never failed to keep players entertained.

The Wild West is slowly suffering. Ex-convict John Marston is forced to pick up his guns again when the FBI threatens him. He also has to hunt down the gang of criminals he once called friends. Experience a legendary battle for survival across the vast expanses of the American West and Mexico, as John Marston fights to bury his bloodstained past, one man at a time.

Grand Theft Auto IV

2. Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV sold 3.6 million copies and generated $310 million in sales on its very first day. Rated a 10/10 on IGN, this game provided users two versions of gameplay: Story mode and Freeplay.

What does the American dream mean in the 21st century? For Niko Bellic, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it's the idea that they can find life in Liberty City, the land of opportunity. As they fall into debt and are pulled into the criminal world by many thieves and thugs, they later realize that it is heaven for those who have wealth and a living nightmare for those who don't.

Batman Arkham City

3. Batman: Arkham City

Based on the DC Comics Batman, this game is the continuation of the video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. It was released on October 18th, 2011. Globally, two million units were sold in its first week from approximately 4.6 million shipped units. In 2012, Arkham City was awarded the BAFTA Games Award for Best Action Game.

Batman: Arkham City adds on the dramatic, wide foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players flying into Arkham City - five times bigger than the game world in Batman: Arkham Asylum. The latest maximum security jail is added for all of Gotham City's gangsters and crazy criminal geniuses. Explore inside the heavily fortified walls of a vast district in the heart of Gotham City. This highly anticipated sequel introduces a new story that brings together a fresh new all-star cast of iconic characters and murderous villains from the DC universe, as well as a wide range of new and upgraded gameplay options to deliver the best experience as the Dark Knight.

Mass Effect 2

4. Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2 sold over 500.000 copies in just one month after its first release. Based on 4,173 reviews, the average rating for this game stands at 8.9/10. It was also awarded the Golden Joystick Award for Game of the Year in 2010!

Are you ready to sacrifice to save the galaxy? You'll have to be, Commander Shephard. It's time to bring your greatest comrades and acquire the galaxy's legendary fighters to continue the elimination of the invading Reapers. This is a job where tough decisions must be made. You'll face harder choices and new, dangerous enemies. Get into your armor and prepare for an unforgettable space adventure.

Dark Souls II

5. Dark Souls 2

Dark Souls 2, being released six years ago, has sold over 2 million units. Designed by Naotoshi Zin, this game earned mixed reviews, but it still makes an important piece of the mysterious and unforgiving world of Dark Souls that so many players know and love.

Dark Souls 2 offers a memorable journey through a brutal world where each gloomy corner and unexpected encounter test your intelligence, determination, and reflexes. Explore beyond what you thought was possible and come across astonishing challenges. Join the unpredictable journey and face immense enemy encounters, evil hazards, and uncover the truth about the Old Ones.

Final Thoughts

So there, you have it. The most unforgettable games that the Xbox 360 has ever offered. While countless other games earn their place in this list, these were the games from the previous generation that many love the most. All of these games are playable on Xbox One and can make a perfect way to shorten the wait for Xbox Series X that's scheduled to release later this year.

Compared to the Xbox 360, Xbox One makes a vast improvement in any imaginable way. All the games we've mentioned have gotten sequels in recent years. Some of these newer games are quite pricy, but Goodluckmate can get rid of that problem. Goodluckmate helps you find slots where you can win real money! So, get gambling and treat yourself to the wide variety of the Xbox One games!

Everreach: Project Eden announced for Xbox One, PS4 & PC

After three years in development, Headup has finally revealed Ede Tarsoly’s new masterpiece Everreach: Project Eden, a fast-paced, story-driven 3rd person action RPG set on the visually stunning Planet Eden. You won’t have to wait long as Everreach will release on Xbox One and PC via Steam this September, with PlayStation 4 to follow later this year.

Everreach: Project Eden

In Everreach: Project Eden you play as Nora Harwood, member of Everreach’s Security Division, on a mission to secure the colonization process of Eden and investigate mysterious incidents. Explore this vast alien world and descend into the planet’s depths to discover the ancient secrets of a long-forgotten civilization. Packed with intense shooter action, and a compelling level and skill system, Everreach immerses you in its intriguing story and diversified gameplay.

In addition to his new team, Ede received some help from a group of talented external contributors. For example, Planet Eden's beautiful vistas were co-designed by Mai-Anh Tran, an artist who worked on sci-fi movies such as WarCraft and Star Trek: Beyond. Furthermore, there is Michelle Clough who helped create the game’s enthralling story. She was the former narrative QA and game writer for the Mass Effect trilogy. And even one of the voice actors, D.C. Douglas ("Legion" in Mass Effect 2 and "Wesker" in Resident Evil) adds perfectly to the atmosphere of Everreach: Project Eden.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the official Reveal Trailer for the game:

Everreach: Project Eden will be release on Xbox and PC in September, the PlayStation 4 version will follow later this year.

Black Ops II discs inexplicably contain Mass Effect 2 data

Black Ops II discs inexplicably contain Mass Effect 2 data
Published by: forahobby on Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Tagged: Gaming, Xbox 360,

Select players who purchased retail PC copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops II are discovering an odd, frustrating surprise.

Reports from the Call of Duty forums, Steam, and Reddit (among other sites) are claiming the second installation disc for Activision’s shooter is actually for Mass Effect 2.

Along with not making a whole lot of sense, the issue is preventing players from installing the game via retail discs – though each copy comes with a Steam key that allows the game to be downloaded in its entirety via digital means.

Activision has yet to provide any official comment on the mistake, but with a product from a completely different publisher involved it seems likely the situation would stem from a manufacturer error.
