Microsoft has just announced that Kinect Playfit is now available from Xbox LIVE as a free download for all Xbox LIVE members in the United States. It will be launching in other Xbox LIVE regions later this week.
"Kinect PlayFit" is a new fitness dashboard that aggregates and tracks the calories you burn as you play a variety of Kinect games, from “Dance Central 2” to “Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012” to “Kinect Star Wars.”
Kinect PlayFit lets you view your personal stats over time and see leaderboards that show how you rank against Xbox LIVE members across the globe. Get credit for the calories you burn while having fun with Kinect, and earn Kinect PlayFit Achievements, Gamerscore and Avatar Awards.
Get ready to step into Star Wars and experience a new galaxy of physical gameplay. Pilot a starfighter, race speeder bikes and even become the ultimate Jedi with the free downloadable demo, now available on Xbox LIVE.

Various retailers located in Germany, including Amazon, have started listing a new Kinect compatible Lightsaber for Xbox 360 which will work with Microsoft’s Kinect Star Wars.
So far all the information we have is that the Lightsaber will include light effects and is also Kinect compatible. It is priced at €16 from Amazon Germany or €15.36 from Promediamax and no batteries will be included.
The official description for Kinect Star Wars states you will not need a controller, although it could be an optional accessory that has yet to be announced.

Amazon has the new lightsaber listed for release in Germany from the 17th of November, 2011.

For the first time in Star Wars history, players can become a Rancor, the monster Luke Skywalker battles beneath Jabba the Hutt’s throne room in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Through the power of Kinect for Xbox 360, players will control the Rancor with intuitive body movements like stomping, charging, roaring, and jumping. As the Rancor, players can grab, toss, and eat Jawas, stormtroopers, droids and other enemies, plus pull TIE fighters out of the sky, fight AT-STs, and destroy everything in sight.
Previously shown content for Kinect Star Wars included the Jedi and Podracing modes. First revealed at Comic-Con 2011, the Podracing game mode challenges players to race alongside the surviving participants of the Boonta Eve Classic in memorable Pods and other unlockable vehicles from the Star Wars universe.
