Award-winning independent game studio Proletariat today announced that their highly-anticipated magic-focused battle royale title, Spellbreak, is now available Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on the Epic Games store. Unleash your inner battlemage in Spellbreak!

Spellbreak

Spellbreak is one of the first titles on the market to support full cross-play and cross-progression across these platforms. Players will be able to create a Spellbreak account and access it on any supported platform to maintain their game progression, customizations, and stats. Players will also be able to use their account to easily find friends and create cross-platform squads.

“Today marks the beginning of a new era in multiplayer gaming. The team worked incredibly hard to deliver one of the first ever simultaneous cross-platform, cross-play, and cross-progression launches,” said Seth Sivak, CEO of Proletariat. “Spellbreak’s unique combat and innovative gameplay will be available for all players to play with whoever they want, on whatever platform they want, regardless of hardware choice.”

Spellbreak is a multiplayer action-spellcasting game where players unleash their inner battlemage and wield two powerful magic gauntlets that blend devastating spell combinations to control the battlefield with fiery tornadoes, electrified gas clouds, and more! Set in the Hollow Lands, players can explore the map to find tactical advantages and discover hidden chests that contain magical runes that give new abilities, including flight, teleport, and invisibility.

One Finger Death Punch 2 releases for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and GOG on February 26th.

One Finger Death Punch 2 Coming to Xbox, Switch, and GOG on February 26

In One Finger Death Punch 2, players take on the role of the chosen one (AKA white stick figure) as they fight through wave after wave of bad guys. Using their advanced martial arts techniques, various weapons, deadly skills, and surroundings, players can fight their way across over 400 levels, 15 level types, 4 endless survival modes, and two gauntlet run game modes all while helping the chosen one learn a total of 26 new skills.

“My brother and I haven’t seen the chosen one this pumped for a console release in a long time,” says Silver Dollar Games’ Jon Flook. “Throughout development, he kept muttering something about needing to show everyone in Z-City who the real one-hit wonder is. Even though we told him being a one-hit wonder isn’t necessarily a good thing, he would just glare at us until things started getting uncomfortable and we had to leave the room.”

One Finger Death Punch 2 is released on Steam, Humble Store, and Kartridge on April 15th, 2020 and will be available on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 26, in 2020.

Introducing “Mixer” – the next generation live game streaming service

Introducing “Mixer” – the next generation live game streaming service

Matt Salsamendi, Co-founder and Mixer Engineering Lead, discusses Mixer – the next generation live game streaming service.

Introducing “Mixer” – the next generation live game streaming service.

Hello! I’m Matt, one of the co-founders of Mixer and engineering lead on the platform at Microsoft.  Huge welcome to all of you new visitors who are checking out Mixer today for the very first time.  We think we have something pretty special here, and are excited to share it with you.

Those of you who are already a part of our community….you’ve probably noticed a lot of changes today, starting with the name.  Today marks a big evolution of our interactive live-streaming platform and a new name for the service: Mixer.  But, more than just the name, we’re launching several of the features that you all have been asking for.  Features that will unlock a whole new world of possibilities for social streaming, and help viewers find the content they’re looking for across the service.

Why the name change? This was a tough decision, and not one that we made lightly.  But, it was something that we decided on as a team.  We believe so much in the power of the platform and want to grow it in every major market around the world.  Unfortunately, that wasn’t something we could do with the Beam name.  We chose Mixer as our new name because it represents what we love most about the service….how it brings people together.

It brings people together through the core experience and “special sauce” that our fans already know and love: the ability to not just watch streams, but to also interact with streamers and play together in near real-time. In other words, Mixer is livestreaming that’s actually LIVE, compared to the 10 – 20 second latency you typically get on other platforms. What’s more, viewers can actively participate in what’s happening on screen instead of just watching from the sidelines. With Mixer, you can influence everything from quest selection to tools to movement, mixing it up with your favorite streamers to create a new kind of gaming experience. The Minecraft team is experimenting with the interactivity that Mixer offers as a possibility for official game integration. And, some Minecraft community members have already created interactive experiences using this technology that allow viewers to do things like spawn in zombies or change the weather.

This gets to the heart of what Mixer means for us. We want to empower gamers and everyone who wants to share their passion – whatever it may be – to create and share more easily than ever before across PC, console and mobile. Mixer represents our vision for the next generation of multiplayer – watching and participating alongside your friends in gameplay streaming from anywhere in the world.
