I was able to find just a bit more info on my Microsoft Gets Modern Warfare 2 Content First post from Monday, January 11, 2010, while there is still no real date for it we do get an idea of how long the 360 fans will get to work there skills before the rest of the world.
Eurogamer.net reports: Microsoft has revealed just how much of a head start Xbox 360 owners will have with the new down loadable content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
"We have a 30-day timed exclusive on the Modern Warfare content packs," a spokesperson told Eurogamer. "So it will be available on other platforms, but you get to try and play on Xbox 360 first."
The exclusivity deal was first announced at E3 last year. Back then John Schappert said it covered the first two map packs for Mod War 2.
The DLC is due to be released this spring but an exact date has yet to be locked down.
The guys from destructoid have published a new video showing the "Fast Motion, Ice Skating Glitch" in Modern Warfare 2. The video was Captured while playing Sabotage on Modern Warfare 2 on the X-Box 360.
There's always time for stories about glitches in Modern Warfare 2. Yes, once again 2009's most popular shooter has been exploited by people who feel accomplished by cheating in videogames. The latest bug arrived in very much the same way as the last one -- it's a PC mod that has been smuggled onto the Xbox 360 version.
This new glitch grants players the ability to move in fast-motion, and players get the feeling that they're skating on ice while they move. Running gives players about five times the normal speed. This glitch is most commonly found on Sabotage games, so be warned if that's your preferred gametype.
Every glitch uncovered in Modern Warfare 2 is yet another point scored by those in favor of dedicated servers. It really seems that letting Infinity Ward handle everything did not make for a more secure and fun gaming experience. Not that we expect IW to care, given the amount of bank they made.

When Microsoft announced that there would be new content coming to Modern Warfare 2—and the Xbox 360 would get it first—gamers had one of two reactions. People with 360s were excited, while other gamers complained that Microsoft seemed to be yet again locking down content by writing large checks. At CES we sat down with Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg, and asked about the business of getting exclusive content.
"I think about it like a sports team, when you sign a star athlete for your team... when you sign that free agent, I think it makes your team better. At the end of the day, we want to turn as many people as possible into Xbox 360 fans."
Greenberg talks about Microsoft's line-up of exclusive content this year as being incredibly strong. "And then to say, on top of that, to take the biggest game of last year, and be the exclusive place you can get that downloadable content first, I think that's a big deal. That's a big reason you'd want to buy an Xbox 360 instead of another console. So we think from a business standpoint that's part of the reason more people are buying the Xbox 360, more people are on Xbox Live, it's part of the reason more people are buying Modern Warfare 2—more than two to one our box vs. the PS3."
He points out the "bet" Microsoft put on Modern Warfare 2, by putting out the custom console and showing it off at E3, and says now Microsoft wants to follow up that trend by offering the content first.
Will any of this convince gamers that are angry that Microsoft isn't simply throwing money around? It's doubtful. The fact remains, however, that you'll have to own a Microsoft console if you want to play the newest Modern Warfare 2 content first. That's a powerful selling point.
The "Public Private Match Hack" exploit allows other players to create their own private match and gain double XP which gets added to your overall statistics, giving you an unfair advantage. This “bug” is executed through the Friends List
It was only yesterday that Infinity Ward decided to take action against the cheaters in Modern Warfare 2 by patching up some exploits that allowed sneaky players to jump onto out of bound areas and even walk inside walls, as well as the famous “Javelin Glitch”. Despite Infinity Ward’s attempt to stop these cheaters, they have left out a few exploits, which have doubled in use due to the removal of the other exploits.
Known by gamers as the “Public Private Match Hack”, the exploit allows other players to create their own private match and some how gain double experience points which gets added to their overall statistics, giving them an unfair advantage. Also, players have been complaining about suddenly been taken away from their game and being put into the private matches unexpectedly.
This “bug” is executed through the Friends List on the Xbox Live interface, making this an “Only On Xbox 360 Bug”.
Gaming Union have reported that there are other aspects to this exploit:
“Other aspects of this glitch allow you to kill players on the same team and have their death count towards your overall score. This also effects killstreaks, which can then be used to kill more team members if the exploiter wishes.”
Robert Bowling has responded to the complaints made and has said that they are aware of the issue and are working on a new patch over Twitter.
This glitch has become a frustration to many players, especially since the bug is inside the matchmaking system, so all that players can do is hope they don’t get sucked into a game they never intended to play.
Despite the fact that there is nothing that players can do, I personally believe that Infinity Ward will apply a patch ASAP.
Connor Smith from the examiner reports that MW2 is still buggy even after the most recent update (patch) was applied. Check out the video.
Early this morning, after being certified by Microsoft, update 1.06 for Modern Warfare 2 was applied, and tossed upon all who wished to play the game online. It was made to fix an entire horde of glitches, bugs and environment exploits found throughout the online multiplayer modes. Did Infinity Ward succeed with this latest patch, or are more waiting for us just beyond the horizon?
With the two major glitches haunting the online multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2, gamers were pleading for a quick patch to fix these bugs up, so they could resume playing MW2 the way it was meant to be played. These glitches are commonly called the "javelin glitch" and the "care package glitch" should never have been able to be used, but through sloppy testing stages, Infinity Ward let them slip through. Fortunately, this latest update eradicated them for us.
Unfortunately, more bugs slid right under IW's radar, and it further proves their sloppy treatment of the post-marketing stage of this game. One particular bug, mentioned here, causes an entire game mode to be morphed into something it never was meant to be. It causes a player to go from one game mode, to a mixed one with different rules, and/or a lot more players than there should be - in some cases doubling the player count.
Experiencing these new bugs is something no gamer should have to do, but through sloppy screening, IW has screwed up once again. It seems more and more patches are on the horizons for everyone.
You can all start running up and knifing the enemies now that the world is safe from the insidious javelin glitch, im just happy that this should stop the HQs XO333 from an onslaught of banter about the glitch.
BraveNewGamer reports: This patch, as Bowling clearly puts it, will prevent the now-infamous javelin glitchers from doing their thing. The PlayStation 3 and PC versions have already received this patch. Looks like there won't be any more tomfoolery going on in Modern Warfare 2, at least for now.
The glitch blocker has been up and running since early Friday morning.
