Team17 and Drop Bear Bytes announced that Broken Roads (@BrokenRoadsGame), an original and narrative-rich, isometric, turn-based role-playing game set in an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic Western Australia, is currently under development and scheduled to launch on Steam and console platforms in 2022.
Broken Roads presents a post-apocalypse with real-world locations and landmarks serving as the backdrop for the complex stories of Australia’s survivors. At the heart of Broken Roads’ thoughtful and mature storylines is a deep and meaningful morality system – the Moral Compass – that influences quests, dialogue, and character development. The system is shaped along four different philosophical paths: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist, each with their own unique traits. As the journey begins, players will be asked a series of questions – moral quandries – that determine their starting position on the compass. Decisions made throughout the game will then shift their philosophical leaning and affect future choices, quests, and reactions from the people they meet.
The announcement comes with a new game trailer narrated by legendary Indigenous actor, Uncle Jack Charles. Let's take a squiz at our post-apocalyptic Land Down Under:
Broken Roads key features
Deep and compelling: Broken Roads builds on classic single-player role-playing games, blending traditional gameplay with original mechanics and experiences
Moral Compass: A unique system that influences both story and gameplay as the plot unfolds
Authentic setting: Explore real-world locations across a post-apocalyptic Western Australia filled with intriguing and emotional stories
Unique visual and musical styles: Hand-drawn visuals and a soundtrack composed with instruments constructed from everyday objects help make the world of Broken Roads vibrant and alive.
Broken Roads will be available for Consoles and Steam PCs in 2022!
Independent extreme sports games developer Easy Day Studios announced that their upcoming skateboarding game, Skater XL will release on the Xbox One in 2020.
Launched into Early Access for PC last December, the game has already seen players logging thousands of hours. The game has spawned a robust modding community of over 30,000 players on Discord, with players sharing mods for everything from skateboard deck designs, clothing, new maps, and gameplay tweaks.
With an emphasis on physics-based board control and freedom of expression, the team has worked closely with the skateboarding community to capture the feel and experience of skateboarding to make it accessible for anyone with a passion for skateboarding culture and/or game genre.
Incorporating extensive motion-capture, Easy Day built a custom animation system that composes real-time animations on the fly (versus canned animations), which are under the user’s control moment-to-moment, ensuring that no two tricks or sequences look alike. This gives the player freedom to be as creative as they like in putting together tricks and lines. A process known as photogrammetry was used to capture the new character model and a variety of gear, clothing and accessories for character customization.
Skater XL is already racking up an impressive library of online videos, thanks to the community-created Replay Editor mod, and the feature will be incorporated into the game’s release. Much in the tradition of homemade videos in the skateboarding community, players can make their own video edits, mashups and highlight reels.
In addition to announcing the game’s first console platform, new screenshots reveal a second skateable environment modeled after a real skatepark in Southern California, and the new customizable character.

In the online casino industry, software, as you can find by accessing www.netgamenv.com, is everything. Why? Without proper software, there cannot be an online casino. The website, the structure and even the games are based on software, so we can say that it is the heart of this industry. Fortunately, today there are a lot of gambling software developer companies in the market. They compete with each other to reap as many customers as possible even though currently only one or two providers are at the top point, one of which is Net Game.
Playtech: It is a company that develops software for gambling, online betting and mobile devices, founded in 1999 in Estonia. Microgaming: According to many experts, they were the ones who created the first online casino in 1994. They have not stopped their work since then and continue to produce high quality games and content, always thinking about the future of the industry.
Betsoft: Produces games with the latest technology, which generally contains special 3D effects. They like to please customers who want to live an experience similar to videogames.
NetGame NV: Founded in 2015. They create games that mimic the experience of playing in a traditional casino. They are very famous for their ability to create slot games that are very interesting with HTML5 quality.
Zynga: They develop games on social networks, since their mission is to connect all continents through games. Among their most famous products are the Zynga Poker and FarmVille.
Dragonfish: A software developer that is part of another larger company. They have a team of experts who create solutions for the different branches of the market especially those working on internet café software.
I-depsys: A young company that developed the first smart Drop Box to be integrated into a table. They create solutions for European and Australian casinos.
