Anthony Park has invented software that will allow you to browse the internet with the Media Center Edition remote. While not directly made for surfing on the Xbox360, we have put together just how to use it to do so. You can go to the more programs tab on your Xbox360 and run the program, then use the remote to surf the internet on your Xbox360.
Anthony Park has released some great software that ties in with Windows Media Center Edition 2005. With this software you can use any extender (including the Xbox 360) to browse the internet.
Sadly, this software will not allow you to use a keyboard for text entry. This fact is compensated by having a list of links that the user will enter after installing the software. MCE Browser does allow you to navigate links on the web page so you aren't stuck to just the sites that you link to; for example, enter xbox-hq as one of your entries, then navigate to the forums.
We've all seen water cooled 360's before. Some done by "professionals" who make money in the biz of water cooling. However, few have pulled it off in such a slick looking package. Not to mention functional.
Paulus (the creator) from XS said:
"I got my watercooled 360 finished this week. I made a waterblock to cover both the CPU and GPU and the pump is fitted internally. The reason I put it on the left side is the right side has a metal plate across it and I didnt want to start cutting it. It also seems to be easier to put the casing back together with it on the left side."
Designed for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and the Xbox 360, Transcode 360 aims to broaden the support for a wide range of video media including DivX and XviD
Is now available for download in the downloads section of 360 HQ.
Original game creator Patrick Buckland and his team at Stainless Games has taken the classic Crystal Quest and rejuventated it - making it faster, sparklier, crazier, and with more color than ever!
What's more, as well as offering this great new next-gen version of the game with all-new graphics, special effects, sounds and gameplay enhancements, fans of the original will find they can also play Crystal Quest in classic ‘old-school’ style as well.
For those who just can't get enough shiny new things, there will also be a number of fun Content Packages available to download from day one, so for just a few Microsoft Points you can customize your game with even more new graphics and/or sound effects!
As usual you can download a free demo with the full version costing 400 marketplace points ($5).
You might remember that back when the Xbox 360 packages were revealed and we found out that the hard drive would not be built into every console, Microsoft claimed that the hard drive would not be required for any games on the Xbox 360 - well so much for that promise.
Any game that required a hard drive would not be playable by the Core package owners, as that package doesnt come with the hard-drive. Them not being able to play games that required a hard-drive was rightly seen as unfair and hence the promise.
The BETA version of Final Fantasy XI actually required a hard drive (but it's BETA so we'll ignore it), however here is another game that now requires a hard drive - Football Manager 2006.
