From Rare: "Co-op over Live is currently in the last stages of debugging and should be available very soon. And there are firm plans to release more downloadable content soon after - details of which will be made available soon."
It has been known since before the release of Kameo that they intended all along to have co-op play over Live but simply ran out of time. It's nice to see them follow through on this and I can't wait to see what other goodies they will have as well.
Speaking at DICE, Microsoft's Peter Moore said, "Within the next four to six weeks, anybody will be able to walk into a store and buy an Xbox 360."
When asked about the decision to launch the X360 globally he stated, "Was it controversial? Yes. But it's what we needed to do to bring next-gen gaming to a global audience. There have been short-term shortages, but we're driving a clear advantage as we go forward. It was the right decision." He added, "There were component shortages, but they've been fixed. Now we're starting to cook. We're building a vibrant, rich and profitable business model for the future."
I just hope Microsoft can keep up the momentum as March is shaping up to be one of the best months ever for AAA game releases.
The developers of Prey have posted up their latest weekly development update and we really can’t wait for the game to be released. Here is a short snippet from the update:
"A number of new portal puzzles have been added to Prey, especially at the beginning. We felt that the portal usage could get even more intense earlier in the game, so we’ve been adding in even more puzzles and mind-warping portal coolness. I’d go more into the puzzles themselves, but I honestly don’t want to spoil these.
UbiSoft’s Peter Jackson’s - King Kong the official game of the movie (damn that’s a pretty long name) has been given a demo and is now available for you to download via the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is of course free and will take up 574.95MB of your hard drive. Happy Downloading.
[Update] Seems we are all having a few problems, the demo give you a choice of 2 levels, one in first person and the 2nd as Kong fighting the T-Rex, but it seems when trying to play the first level not everything goes to plan, you follow the 2 other characters and then at the part where the T-Rex is ’supposed’ to appear, it doesnt.
