From 12:01am PDT Monday May 8 –11:59pm PDT Sunday May 14, connected gamers can access the best of E3 content, including the first-ever Gears of War high-definition game trailer on Xbox Live Marketplace, the playable demo of Capcom’s Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Game with Fame multiplayer sessions live from the floor with celebrities like Dave Navarro (Panic Channel), Method Man and Jenny McCarthy.
Juanker, Scener and Apol of F-360 TEAM released a new version of the KeyDrive Xtractor/Patcher- a tool that will allow you to easily extract and write the unique DVD key to/from an Xbox 360 DVD firmware file (so no need to hex-edit it manually anymore).

Halo 3 With Microsoft, the rumors are always true. The next iteration in Bungie Studios' Halo series will appear at E3 2006 in video form at its Tuesday, May 9 news conference, IGN learned today from independent sources who recently spoke with Microsoft executives.
The video is allegedly two minutes long, although its contents weren't divulged. We're guessing a wild breathtaking battle on Earth. Knowing Microsoft, the publisher will want to show all real, in-game engine footage to counter Sony's fantastical CG videos from E3 2005. When Microsoft was contacted, the company issued its standard reply, "We don't comment on speculation and rumors."

It looks like SEGA is giving yet another one of their franchises a next-gen sequel. A few days ago they announced Virtua Tennis 3, today SEGA Rally is announced for Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3. No word of a Wii version.
Apparently they are taking some sort of MotorStorm-like approach to terrain-deforming:

Based on the best-selling Top Cow comic book, The Darkness casts players as Jackie Estacado, a fearless Mafia hitman for the Franchetti crime family who is suddenly possessed by the terrifying and spectacular powers of The Darkness. Throughout the game, players must learn to control and harness The Darkness power in order to overthrow the vicious mob boss and fulfill their destiny. The Darkness features a seamless and unique blend of modern crime drama and supernatural horror through first and third-person, non-linear gameplay. Utilizing the Starbreeze engine for next generation consoles, The Darkness features single and online multi-player action across highly realistic environments.
Finally a bunch of screenshots have been released from the comic first person shooter ‘The Darkness‘. They feature some good old-fashioned decapitation, freaky demons from hell and a couple of nice atmospheric shots of what looks like a very cosy neighbourhood. The game is set for a release somewhere this year and is pretty much R-rated I think.
