Calling All Agents: “Crackdown” Now on Store Shelves. Crime lords of Pacific City are on high alert as “Crackdown” hits retailers nationwide.
Microsoft® Game Studios today announced that the highly anticipated action title “Crackdown™” is now available on store shelves. From developer Realtime Worlds and the mind of acclaimed creator Dave Jones, “Crackdown” is currently setting its sights on retailers across North America.
Gamers have already made the “Crackdown” demo on Xbox Live® Marketplace the most downloaded demo within the first 24 hours as well as setting a record for total downloads during its first week of release. Since then, the demo has garnered nearly 1 million downloads in less than a month as gamers everywhere have been eagerly waiting the day that they can fully experience this nail-biting, action-packed title.
“Excitement generated by the demo on Xbox Live Marketplace, and the resulting flood of community-generated video that gamers have created, has led ‘Crackdown’ to become one of the most anticipated games of this year,“ said Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of Merchandising at GameStop Corp.
“Crackdown” is also one of the three ways to gain entry into the highly sought “Halo® 3” multiplayer beta program. All copies of “Crackdown” available at launch will be specially marked with the “Halo 3” multiplayer beta sticker. Gamers will be able to use their retail copy of “Crackdown” to gain access to the beta when it becomes available later this year.*
From Realtime Worlds, “Crackdown” pushes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next generation with the first-ever truly 3-D playground. Gamers will level up their Agent’s strength, agility, firearms, explosives and driving skills while scaling the fully vertical world of “Crackdown.” This M-rated game incorporates revolutionary cooperative gameplay throughout the entire free-form campaign.** Creating a volatile *****tail of judicial oppression, players will clean up the streets of a truly interactive world when “Crackdown” hits store shelves with an estimated retail price of $59.99.
Ok guys, after 2 weeks (sorry about the delay, i had some personal issues going on) I finally have the story on the upcoming title Street Trace: NYC, from Gaiaindustries.
The story/backdrop of Street Trace: NYC as those of you know is set in a corporate controlled post apocalyptic world where racing on hoverboards and taking down your enemys is a way of life.
We here at 360-hq.com were lucky enough to be invited up to the heartplace of the game itself, NYC, to get a sneak peak at the upcoming entry title from Gaiaindustries in the XBLA arena.
My first impressions of this game were simply "Why the hell is this not on a retail disc?? This seems way too good to be an XBLA game" but it's true folks, this masterpiece is being released this spring on XBLA, and let me tell you, we all need to have this game on our 360's. Why you ask?? Because it kicks ass!!!!
Among the MULTIPLE games modes from the arena mode which has Flag, Hunter, Chaos and Takedown, to the racing aspect featuring Screamer, Chaos and StreetTrace this game is sure to offer everyone smart enough to buy it endless hours of insane multiplayer fun and also an extremely challenging single player campaign.
Although the single player campaign is awesome, it is without a doubt that i guarantee that it's the multiplayer that everyones going to be playing.
This game is sure to make your adrenaline raise up pretty fast. You see yourself grinding ,shooting and destroying all your friends (and enemy's) on xbox live arcade.
Gaia Industries went through the trouble and gave us gamers a game mode like TakeDown, this classic frag gameplay - just take down your opponents to win arena mode. It really brings out what xbox live arcade is really made for ... for friends to just get together and play this game until their eyes hurt...
The next game mode is Chaos... and the name says it all , win this race by picking up flags and shooting at different targets spread around the not so well maintain arenas. Shooting enemies with Pulse rifles, Rockets, Mines, Stampede and more..
But enough about the multiplayer action from this game... how about the single player you ask?.... Well, the single player lets you take down the contenders and 3 circuit champions over 63 match-ups, also rip through 18 trial games and compare your best times on weekly and all-time leaderboards. Different types of medals you can achieve are Bronze , Silver , Gold and Platinum. There's also a time trial mode. which is pretty difficult to beat.
In conclusion this is simply a game that any self respecting gamer should definitely have their grubby little mits on ASAP, so when it comes out....... GO AND DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!!!!! BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!!!

Browsing around the Game Trailers website I noticed an interview with one of the Developers for Rare. They talked first about continuing the series of Viva Pinata with the cartoon, the toys, and of course the video games. They also talked quite a lot about the New Banjo game coming soon. It looks to be a continuation of the story but it won't require that you had played the first two games in order to enjoy it. They also assured us that the main nemesis Grunty (Gruntilda the Witch) will of course be back, what type of Banjo game would it be without her?
Also mentioned was how they were liking producing games for a system known more for it's adult image, where Rare normally seems to create "kiddy games". They said that the older gamers will eventually have children, so it was no problem for them, they just love working on new interesting titles. The Stamper Brother's leaving the company was also mentioned but quickly brushed off as something that isn't really affecting the company, as they have most of the original staff still there.
Go to the link below to see the full interview and let us know what you think about it on the forums.

Over the weekend, Major Nelson participated in little experiment: The first ever Xbox Live death-match from a moving vehicle. Let me explain. With the help of Jake Ludington, Brandon Wirtz over at XYHD.TV wanted to take his Xbox Live playin’ on the road. So they loaded up Brandon’s ‘07 Jeep Wrangler with a 23” Samsung LCD and hooked it up to an Xbox 360. They took a laptop and connected it to the free Google WiFi service (only available in Mountain View, California) and using Internet Connection Sharing, connected the Xbox to play over Xbox Live. You can see the full video here. Major Nelson was actually in Seattle at home as the guy ‘at the other end’ playing in the video, but it was a fun experiment anyway. And let me be perfectly clear: This is not a supported method to use your Xbox 360 or connect to Xbox Live, but kudos to you if you can make it work.
