TheSpecialist recently released a update of HDDHackr many of you were probably waiting for. With the release of an official 120GB drive by Microsoft you can now use this tool to make your own 120GB Xbox360 HDD using a Western Digital Scorpio BEVS-LAT drive (that's a cheap (~80usd for 120GB) SATA 2.5" PC/laptop drive):
Attached is the latest version of the hddhackr. It works with the new 120 gb signature. However, this current version can not dump the hddss.bin file automatically from that drive, you'll have to manually dump sectors 16-22 with a tool like winhex and save them as 'hddss.bin'. After that, continue as normal with the hddhackr and everything will be fine.
Also, I'd like to stress that there are 2 versions of the WD BEVS drive out there: the 'RST' and the 'LAT' version. This tool currently ONLY supports the 'LAT' version ! You can find on the sticker of the HDD which version it is. I'll hope to be able to support the RST version of the drive in a future version of this tool.

Codemasters recently announced "Race Driver One" for the Xbox 360. The title is now in development at Codemasters Studios, creators of genre-leading motorsport video games, and will arrive in 2008 for leading console platforms and PC.
"Race Driver One" will be a true evolution for the series, which first appeared as the TOCA (DTM/V8) Touring Car games (1997–2000) and became the TOCA (DTM/V8) Race Driver series (2002-2006). Codemasters has released info today, on a sequel to the highly acclaimed Operation Flashpoint. They go on to state that this will be the biggest, devolved game to come out of their studio. Codemasters, has thrown everything they have at this title, it has been in pre-production for over 2 years, with the largest development team ever to grace Codemasters.
Codemasters promise warfare on a scale never seen in a FPS, and also that Operation Flashpoint 2 will see the most realistic modeling of conflict scenarios in a new contemporary theatre of war. By offering a multitude of military disciplines, gameplay will deliver warfare more realistic and intense then ever before, while an extensive multiplayer component will create battles on an incredible scale.
