True ninjas belong to a dojo. The dojo gives the ninja a place to congregate, meet other ninjas, learn more about their skills or weapons, and talk about things only other ninjas would understand.
Today, Microsoft launches the “Tenchu Z” official website that allows gamers to explore the world they will encounter and the ninja skills they will utilize in the newest game of the long-running stealth-action franchise. The site, which can be found at http://www.tenchu-z.com/, allows gamers to learn more about the game, from the storyline to the unique, and sometimes lethal, ninja skills that will let gamers complete a variety of missions which take place in feudal Japan. Gamers can also learn about some of the more colorful citizens they will encounter and fight in “Tenchu Z.”
Visitors to the site can also build their own dojo using the special ninja tools found only in the “Tenchu Z” Ninja Fan Site Kit, which is now available for download. There's concept art, forum avatars, renders, and other Web-ready artwork – plus some secret stuff for ninjas only.
The fan site kit can be found on the official “Tenchu Z” Web site at www.tenchu-z.com in the “Downloads” section. Fan site webmasters are also encouraged to register their dojo for official inclusion on the “Tenchu Z” site. Please feel free to download and redistribute the fan site kit on your own site for your readers.
Many gamers have felt estatic over the new Forza, whilst others have felt slightly underwhelmed, take a look at this recently posted comparison video of the Forza 2 demo vs Bizzare Creation's PGR 3. What do you guys think? Which game looks better?
It looks like yet again QA teams and the Microsoft Certification team have fallen asleep at the switch. Complaints are filing in from people who have downloaded the new Crackdown content. The content went live today but it seems to be resetting their save games back to scratch and un-leveling their characters. Not cool. Right now it seems like the most common trigger is joining a co-op game of keys to the city. Once you exit out of a ‘keys’ game with your fully leveled agent and start a solo game, your character progression is reset back to day 1, everything 00 and no weapons, no unlocks, no warp points, all agility and hidden orbs need to be found again, etc. Basically it’s as if you just came home with Crackdown and fired it up for the first time.
There are also some reports of the new ‘Reset Gangs’ feature being more like a global reset doing the same thing as the ‘keys’ game. Everything resets back to the very first time you ever played Crackdown.
You can read some of the complaints here: http://forums.crackdownoncrime.com/forums/1/29042/ShowThread.aspx
The QA Manager of Real Time Worlds has responded to someone’s email request and it sounds like they are working on the problem.
"I’m [Name Withheld] – QA Manager at RTW, and can I say that I’m really sorry that this has caused you a problem. We are trying to work out how or why this has happened and therefore need as much info as possible.
Specifically – I need to know what you did in what order…so you got the TU forced upon you, downloaded the free pack/paid pack, started co-op in which mode etc
I’ve got some guys here and we are trying to reproduce it and can’t. The only two items that change the save game states are Keys to the City & Resurrect Gangs.
In the former all saving is disabled – in the latter it only changes the game world – not your profile so you shouldn’t have lost anything except for the gang progress (you keep all your achievements you just get to play them again…)
Any info you can provide would help us narrow down any issue"
The question is, why is the problem there in the first place? Now are we going to start needing to patch DLC or patch patches? Come on.
We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, so we’re here to get you up to speed (no pun intended) on “Project Gotham Racing® 4,” Bizarre Creations’ highly-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster “PGR®” racing franchise. Set to drift onto store shelves this fall, there are several new features to get your engines revved up about.
Right from the starting line, Bizarre’s vision for “PGR 4” was to create an emotionally-charged racing experience, where players become attached to their careers, profiles and vehicles. There are several new features that embody this emotional experience, the most significant being the new career mode. Drivers will be rewarded with a growing fanbase that’ll cheer them on, react to their every move and support them through victory. Just imagine hearing the roar of the crowd as you cross the finish line with your own style and flair.
One of the most appealing new gameplay elements is the dynamic weather system. Now racing through a track can mean facing an unexpected rain storm or snow flurries in the middle of a race. This results in changing physics when powering around a corner on the wet or icy surface in Shanghai and St. Petersburg or any of the game’s 10 other locations. So, if you think driving on a dry track is boring…
Weather changes won’t be the only element that brings added excitement and challenge to the game. Flair and driving style will now be just as important as technical skill, as players passing their opponent at full speed will pump their fists and exhibit more emotion as they earn recognition with the revised Kudos system. The Kudos will be worthwhile too, because the new A.I. personalities will be able to perform bold new driving maneuvers as they race side by side with other drivers.
”PGR 4” will also feature some of the world’s most iconic cars, as new vehicles are lined up and ready to be driven, including the following:
- 2004 TVR Sagaris
- 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray
- 2005 Vanwall GPR V12
- 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo
- 2005 Gumpert Apollo
- 1997 Panoz GTR-1 Coupe
- 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
- 1957 Maserati 250F
Be on the lookout next month for additional updates as we roll out the game’s impressive new features, locations and vehicle list.
Until next time, keep your car in fifth and two wheels on the pavement!
