The original Super Famicom version of Clock Tower, the 16-bit cult classic survival horror game, is getting a Port+ edition with improved graphics and features. Clock Tower Port+ is being developed by WayForward and published by Limited Run Games for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Originally released on Super Famicom in 1995 in Japan, Clock Tower traps players in the haunting confines of the Barrows family manor, where they’ll be pursued by Scissorman, a murderous, shears-wielding psychopath. As teenage orphan Jennifer Simpson, players will use a point-and-click interface to explore the mansion and search every disturbing corner to find items, reveal secrets, and discover ways to survive Scissorman’s assaults. Without any offensive capabilities, Jennifer must rely on her wits and resourcefulness if she has any hope of escaping with her life and earning one of the game’s multiple endings. A tense atmosphere, chilling sound effects, detailed 2D animations, and randomized elements to maximize replayability demonstrate why Clock Tower is considered a groundbreaking pioneer in the survival-horror genre.
Harnessing the power of Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, this new edition of Clock Tower retains the authentic gameplay, graphics, and sound of the original version while also adding modern features and enhancements. These include a new vocal theme song performed by Mary McGlynn (Silent Hill series), a new animated opening, motion-comic cutscenes before and after the game, a bonus art gallery, border artwork, save states, multiple language options, and more.
Clock Tower Port+ Features:
A survival-horror classic, officially translated and brought out of Japan for the first time.
Run, hide, and survive as you attempt to evade the psychotic Scissorman.
Atmospheric 2D art, detailed animations, and haunting sound effects.
Multiple endings and randomized gameplay elements maximize replayability (and jump scares).
New animated opening, motion-comic cutscenes, and vocal theme song performed by Mary McGlynn.
Art gallery, save states, and other modern enhancements.
Clock Tower will be published digitally in North America and Europe by WayForward, followed by a physical version that will be offered on select platforms by Limited Run Games. Further details, including information on the physical preorder window, will be announced at a later date.

Award-winning development studio, Lichthund (@LichthundStudio), has teamed up with Team17 Digital (@Team17) for its next game. The developer is known for its quirky and fresh game experiences, such as the 2016 hit, Lichtspeer, a fast-paced action game where players throw lightspears at enemies.
Established in 2014 as a two-person venture in Warsaw, Poland, Lichthund swiftly transformed into an acclaimed studio known for blending a bold creative vision with a venturesome spirit. The studio’s debut game, Lichtspeer, garnered success upon its release in 2016 for PC and PS4, leading to subsequent console adaptations and a mobile version in the ensuing years.
The new game, which is still under wraps, will be an original IP that reflects both studios' unique styles. It will be published by Team17 Digital and released for PC and consoles.
Michael Pattison, CEO, Team17 Digital, said: “I and the rest of Team17 Digital are excited to be working with Lichthund on their next title, which promises to be as unique as their debut release. The partnership underlines our continued mission to help exceptional developers deliver the best and most eclectic indie games on the planet, and will strengthen our portfolio of nearly 150 games.”
Rafal Zaremba, CEO, Lichthund, said: “We are incredibly excited about our collaboration with Team17 on one of our projects. Partnering with a publisher that shares our values and creative vision was very important to us. Together, we are committed to raising the bar in terms of production values and creating a game that will captivate and immerse players in a new and exciting experience. Having poured our hearts and souls into the development process, we can’t wait to talk more about the game.”

The new blog post provides an overview of the factions you’ll meet whilst falling victim to the Sprawl’s lax child labor laws. The current ruler, Princess Desdemona, is nearly of age, and suitors from two neighboring nations are vying to woo her. On one hand, there’s the ruler of the ancient warrior women-led Marvagh Empire, which was founded on the guiding principle of “If your husband is hungry, he should make his own goddamn dinner.” They tend to solve their property, succession, and legal disputes through trial by combat. On the other hand, there’s the mining Kingdom of Petrard’s Prince Finius, a wayward playboy who just wants to have a rollicking good time, but his parents insist he marry to guarantee their royal line.
Electronics brand JSAUX (@jsauxofficial) just revealed a new set of accessories for the Steam Deck to celebrate its seventh birthday. After releasing a successful set of transparent back cases, JSAUX will now sell a transparent front plate plus a new transparent back plate with new ventilation and cooling features. JSAUX will also release an anti-glare screen for Steam Deck, later this month.
This highly anticipated front cover will be released in three colors (crystal, brown, and purple) finally allowing players to own a fully transparent Steam Deck. This item will come with a full complimentary tool kit and an installation guide, however, JSAUX would like to warn that the installation process, around 3 to 5 hours, is trickier than the one for the back cover and that users might proceed at their own discretion or seek help from a professional. The transparent front case is available for $35.99 / €33. You can check how to change the front cover in the video below:
For those players that didn't purchase the512GB Steam Deck model, JSAUX has designed an anti-glare screen that aims to reduce the original screen's glare, thus giving players a better experience with crystal clear visuals and sharper graphics. It will be available later this month for $89.99 / €83.
The new transparent back plate has been redesigned with a new opening located at the Deck's fan. The new heat dissipation system maintains the iconic aluminum sheet while managing to keep the temperature down due to new air openings and a redesign of the silicone case, thus improving the console's performance. Preliminary tests show that the temperature during gaming is lower than with the first model of the transparent plate, though this data may vary depending on the usage of each player. A set with the new transparent back plate and transparent front case is available for $49.99/ €46 in three colors: crystal, brown, and purple.
Publisher Ultimate Games S.A. and Polish development studio MasterCode revealed that Professional Fishing 2, the next installment of the popular fishing series, is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will be available this September in early access on PC.
Professional Fishing 2 is a realistic fishing game focused on both the single-player and multiplayer experience. As announced by MasterCode, the new installment will be even more realism-oriented than the first game. The developers have announced new features such as larger fishing grounds, more fishing methods and fish species, as well as far more extensive multiplayer modes.
The new game will also feature survival and hunting elements, and an important role will be played by moving between fisheries in one’s own vehicles or by public transport.
For the Steam Early Access release, the developers are preparing one very large map, characteristics of which are based on Central and Eastern Europe. The final version of the map will cover a dozen or so square kilometers, and it will have various bodies of water, including small and large lakes, various rivers, ponds, oxbow lakes, and the sea.
“We will include many new features in Professional Fishing 2. For instance, players will be able to choose if they prefer first-person or third-person perspective. In addition, the multiplayer modes will include duels, tournaments, leaderboards, and other interesting features, while those who prefer playing alone will be able to enjoy loads of exciting challenges,” says Mateusz Zawadzki – CEO of Ultimate Games.
