Music Blog may 2011 Published on 05-07-2011
" Thought I'd just blog some stuff about how my music is going because finally things are gearing up really quickly! I've been jamming with a banjo player and an accordian player for the past few months which has been invaluable experience and really enjoyable to boot! We've got a song or two in the works and it's a lot of fun.
What's more exciting for me though is the prospect of finally getting a 3 track ep together! I think the songs have pretty much picked themselves as I have 1 song which is a bit of a heart break song, 1 song which is a summer song and another which is a bit more of a mellow acoustic pretty song and those 3 go togther like jd and coke.
A guy I know at the local studios has agreed to help me get it recorded and is going to do the drums for me and producing, mixing so it's really awesome.
I need my arrangements all laid and recorded I'm going for 2 guitars and double tracked vocals for my demo to take to him and then see what we can do.
I'll be so happy to get my first ever ep recorded and to get these tracks set down so I can focus on other songs as these have been my 3 showcase songs for a while now!
Between 2-4 weeks is when Im aiming to get in the studios so vish me luck yay! "

| yeah the banjo player is crazy fast he seems to have taken to it like a fish in water after only a few months! It's hard to keep up with him he's always telling me i play too slow!
So much musical news though finally met this drummer I've been talking too for a while he's polish and absolutely amazing, our harmonica player is now pretty committed! Tomorrow I got to record 3 rythem only demos (at least) to send to the drummer and the bass player i have had lined up for a while then we'll be hitting the rehearsal studio saturday/sunday.
Tomorrow me and the banjo player or going busking for jokes maybe get some beer money, but it's good practice too.
It's an amazing challenge and playing with people better then me has really forced me to up my skills rapidly.
The sad thing though is that music has taken over my hobbie time and I don't have time or even get the enjoyment i use to from the old xbox.
