Team-Xecuter ''MOLEXT'' Preview - Molex on the MOVE DevicePublished by forahobby on Friday, May 06, 2011 Tagged: Hardware, Homebrew, Xbox 360, XCONSOLES.COM has sent Team-Xecuter samples of a brand new product called “MOLEXT”, the first professionally manufactured and portable MOLEX device.
The scene has been crying out for a portable Molex device that is both high performing and high quality at the same time without busting the bank balance.
Designed and Made in the good ‘ole USA, this unassuming little gizmo knocked our socks off at Xecuter HQ with its outstanding performance ! We expected to get maybe 5 or 10 good flashes of a drive (including a full eject cycle just to give the 12v a solid workout). Boy, were we wrong.
With just 2 alkaline 9v batteries we were able to do 112 drive flashes before the battery indicators started to go red !!!
Out of all the DIY portable molex devices we have ever tested – this is the first professionally manufactured product that is as good as it gets and is a must for any serious mobile modder, because lets face it if you are a pro and you are mobile, in all probability you own a laptop or netbook already and you want to be flashing 10 drives in 10 minutes – not 2 hours, right ?
We can’t wait for these to be on sale to the public. We’re told that Radio Shack are looking to pick these up and there are will also be a distribution program setup for other wholesalers and retailers.
We will look at buying a large quantity for our X360USB PRO customers so we will be able to save you a few $$.
MOLEXT Features:- Portable Molex Power Supply
- 2 x 9v Alkaline Batteries
- AC/DC Pass through (Wall socket / Car Adapter etc)
- Dual Battery Power Level LED indicators (Green:Good, Orange:OK, Red: Change Battery)
- High end circuit giving outstanding battery performance
- Power Status LED
- Made In The USA
- ….and of course Xecuter tested and approved
We will let you know as soon as production starts – and it looks like the RRP is going to be around $29.95
