Nearly a year to the day of the first-found DG-16D5S, a brand new Xbox 360 DVD drive version has been discovered; Lite-On 1532 DG-16D5S.
Photos provided by Imperio Games DF of Brazil, show the drive's label with the new firmware version 1532, new hardware version B0A0, and a manufacturing date of June, 2012.
Full details are not yet known about this new drive, but the C4eva team is working to get their hands on several for analysis. Stay tuned!
RetroArch 360, a multi-system emulator/game system for Xbox 360, has been released and is now available for homebrew 360's.
Included in the RetroArch 360 package are the following emulators/game engines :
SNES9x Next (Super Nintendo)
FCEUmm (Nintendo NES)
Final Burn Alpha (0.2.97.26 - latest version - arcade)
Gambatte (Game Boy/Game Boy Color)
VBA Next (Game Boy Advance)
PrBoom (Doom 1/Doom 2/Ultimate Doom/Final Doom)

Just a quick note for those of you contemplating picking up the new "Casper" White Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Family Bundle and wondering what motherboard revision and drive it has inside.
Although we had an inkling of hope that, being 4GB models, they might come with older Trinity boards, it came as no surprise that they in fact contain a Corona board and the Lite-On DG-16D5S 1175 drive. Also worth mentioning is that the packaging has changed compared to older bundles insofar as there no longer being a flap/window to reveal the serial number.
With the team's current progress, it won't be long until you'll be able to fw flash and/or RGH these.

Registered xk3y users can now download latest stable firmware 1.20.
Firmware 1.20 is now officially released, this firmware have been available as "beta" since January. Some highlights are support for the DVD Menu system that where already added back in early February.
