Colorado Springs Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Playstation, an Xbox and several video games at a family home.
The hold-up lasted 30 mins, with the suspects threatening to shoot the family. The robbers made off with the consoles on foot. The police have said they do not think it was a random act.
Kristi Claybourne says, "They were saying if anybody moves, shoot them; if they flinch, shoot them." She says the three men held her and the others at gunpoint while they tore through their home. "He put a gun to the back of my head." Claybourne describes the suspects as black or hispanic, in their late or twenties and less than six feet tall.
Deadline Games has announced it’s working on a “gritty, emotional shooter”, Faith and a .45, for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The Denmark-based independent developer says the game will feature a heavy focus on characters, co-operative gameplay, road movie storytelling and cinematic aesthetics, and will tell the story of two outlaw lovers against the backdrop of the Great Depression.
"Since we at Deadline have our roots in movie production, we value original stories, settings and characters very highly," said Deadline CEO Chris Mottes.
"Our previous games are testament to this, but we believe Faith is going to take our creative might to a whole new level."
The Nordic developer, founded in 1996 as a production company in film, television and interactive entertainment, but which now focuses exclusively on game development, will be presenting the game to selected publishers at the 2008 Game Developers Conference in February. It was previously responsible for Total Overdose and Chilli Con Carnage.
Capcom have confirmed that Thursday, January 24th, 2008 will be the release date for the new "Devil May Cry 4" playable demo which will be available for download via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The demo introduces gamers to the gothic-inspired supernatural world of Devil May Cry 4, new protagonist Nero and the awesome power of his Devil Bringer. The demo consists of a sampling of sections from the full game, chosen to showcase Devil May Cry 4's varied locales, allowing gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero's unique abilities. Players will receive instruction on the various new actions that the Devil Bringer bestows, such as the ability to slam creatures to the ground, cover great distances in a single bound or even grab enemies while on the ground or in the air and pull them towards Nero to continue an attack combo. The Exceed system allows Nero to "rev up" his sword as if it were a motorcycle throttle and unleash devastating attacks. Players will need to master all these techniques before the end-of-demo showdown with the mighty Berial.
Fully demonstrating the power of the next generation of consoles, the Devil May Cry 4 demo brings to life the coastal city of Fortuna and its surroundings in exquisite detail, such as the port and the snow-capped mountain ranges.

Rockstar is moving ahead with plans to release Bully: The Scholarship Edition in the UK despite a call for a ban on the game.
According to a Telegraph article, the PC World and Currys chain has decided not to stock the game.
"We don't think this is suitable for sale in our stores," said a company spokesperson. "We are careful about what we sell and this is something we have decided not to list."
The original Bully was released for the PS2 in the UK under the title Canis Canem Edit - Latin for "dog eats dog." The new version, for the Xbox 360 and Wii, will revert to the original name.
The National Union of Teachers has called for a ban on the game due to concern over bullying in schools.
"The dialogue about the pernicious effects of bullying appears to have been ignored," general secretary Steve Sinnott told The Telegraph. "It is an encouragement to violence and intimidation, and those things have a major impact on schools."
Niall Cowley, of the charity BeatBullying, was disappointed that the game was created in the first place.
"Some mindless people thought this was a fun, interesting piece of software to create, but it undermines all the hard work that organisations like ours are seeking to do," said Cowley.
Labour MP Keith Vaz also weighed in on the controversy.
"The idea that people should be glorifying bullying is just tasteless," he said.
"It is hardly encouraging good social values for our children. Just the name Bully is going to attract young people to buy it."
