A glitch on the Xbox.com friends list had many, including myself confused as to what friends we're playing, where instead of playing Halo 3 it said they were playing Xbox Dashboard
On the Xbox.com friends list it has been showing people playing Halo 3 as Playing Xbox Dashboard instead.
Imagine if the dashboard had built in games, some of them would include:
- Blade Race: Try this new fast pased racer where instead of racing cars, you race to see who can flip the most blades in a certain amount of time.
- Hide and Seek: Hide and Seek, Xbox style. The Blades are different rooms, and the options are different hiding spots, see how fast you can find all of your friends.
- Race to finish: A randomly generated option is your target, you must race your friends to see who can get to the target first.
Feel free to come up with your own Dashboard games and discuss them in our Forums
This glitch on the Xbox.com site has since been fixed, but at least we have screenshot proof that it was there.
In an interview with OXM.com Epic president Mark Rein said that the best mods for Unreal Tournament 3 will be for the xbox 360, sorry PS3 fans.
OXM.com then went on to add "Rein confirmed that Epic is talking with Microsoft about getting round the company's reluctance to share user-generated content, and is "cautiously optimistic" that a solution is coming.
He did say that it was unlikely that "user exchanged mods" would be included in the game because it's so close to release, but Epic hope to have a solution at a later date.
This suggests the possibility of Epic trading in mods as down loadable content - effectively publishing the best user-created content over Xbox Live. If that happens, it could be a way for moders to get paid for their work.
I remember back in the day when you had to download your mods from the net and fans made it just because they were fans.
Activision and Infinity Ward's modern-day first-person shooter hits sales landmark; Variety Map Pack breaks XBLA record with 1M downloads in 9 days.
From the get-go, Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was a certifiable hit. Its PC performance notwithstanding, the Infinity Ward-developed modern-warfare shooter debuted with more than 2 million units sold across the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in its first month last November. Though having been available for only two months, the title also managed to take the 2007 sales crown, with Activision saying in January that COD4 had sold 7 million units worldwide by year's end.
So far I'm not sure what to think about this one but i will leave the judging up to you, Mortal Kombat will be crossing worlds with the DC Universe and it just might be a good thing but who knows?
Said to be releasing this fall on 360 Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe might be a big hit but the question at hand here is, will DC go for all the blood violence and gore or will MK need to down play all that good stuff?
Since we have no answer to that at this time lets just set back and enjoy this cool and at the same time odd clip.
