Nintendo sold 2.04 million Wiis to U.S. consumers last month, outselling its nearest competitor, the Xbox 360, more than two-to-one. As good as the news was for Nintendo, it was as bad for Sony.
While Wii sales more than doubled from the 981,000 units Nintendo sold in November last year, monthly PlayStation 3 sales dropped. Despite commanding a much stronger software line-up, Sony saw PS3 sales decline from 466,000 last November, to just 378,000 this November. The company's previous generation platform also sank considerably, with the PlayStation 2 moving just 206,000 units compared to 496,000 it did during the same month last year.
Microsoft's hardware sales jumped from November 2007. It sold 770,000 in November last year, while it sold 836,000 this year.
Wii - 2,040,000
Nintendo DS - 1,570,000
Xbox 360 - 836,000
PSP - 421,000
PlayStation 3 - 378,000
PlayStation 2 - 206,000
Total hardware sales amounted to $2.91 billion for the month, up 10% from November of 2007.

Expect this to be rectified in the game's first DLC pack: "Operation Anchorage," which Bethesda recently announced. The five hour, 800-point campaign is a simulation of what producer Jeff Gardiner calls the "famous liberation of Anchorage from Fallout lore." That's right, virtually simulated red Chinese: Your days are numbered.
In the stealth/action focused mission, you'll fight your way into a Chinese base with new tools and perks at your disposal that will be exclusive to the DLC. IGN's got a lot more info, including Bethesda's plan is to increase the level cap with the third piece of DLC, Broken Steel. The wait for next year just got a little longer for those looking to level up their character in Fallout 3.
For the lucky guys and girls out there that have beat the hell out of Fable II (and in some cases more then once) there is good news from the Lionhead team and if you have read the post title you know its about the downloadable content set for the 22nd of December.
Eurogamer Reports: Lionhead has told Eurogamer that the Knothole Island DLC for Fable II will definitely arrive on 22nd December, and not 12th December as was first thought.
A spokesperson told us the original date, which we lifted from Xbox.com, was a "mistake". The site now says "mid-December".
Knothole Island costs 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) and adds a whole new area stuffed full of quests and tricky decisions to explore.
Alongside the DLC will be a co-op patch to enable those with Knothole Island to play alongside those without. However, all Knothole Island content will be off limits unless both parties have forked out for the pack.
On top of that, Lionhead is bestowing some festive gifts on those downloading Knothole Island or the free co-op patch. These include Knight's Boots, Assassin's Gloves, a Weight Loss Potion, collectible book and more.

The new missions include the Siege of the Kursk Firebase (Ukraine), the Assault on Devon beach (England), the Raid on Rota naval base (Spain) and the Conquest of Dorsey Knob (USA, West Virginia).
These new challenges will also be available with more fighting power; as the "Escalation Pack” will also introduce three new unit upgrades and 10 new achievements to unlock.
December 11th will also mark the day where EndWar brings you a completely free title update that will bring the stakes of the war to a whole new level by including the much sought after four vs. four mode. This content patch will be available on the Xbox 360 on December 11th.
It has been to long since i got to post on this game but it looks like i now have some great news to report on what i think will be a ground breaking smash hit Prototype, it would seem that a few videos set to show at the January CES have made there way on to the net so enjoy HQ fans.
Joystiq.com Reports the following: Prototype, better known as Crackdown + The Matrix + Superman seems to have a busted website that confronts you with an age gate, and then gives up all of its secrets like the wimpy kid during recess. It appears that these are images and videos they are assembling for a presentation at CES in January, but Happy Holidaze! You get it a few weeks early.
Either this is a brilliant marketing ploy, or someone's asleep at the keyboard.
