Infinity Ward’s Rob Bowling AKA fourzerotwo has set a play date for all the guys and girls out there that need the 10th Prestige and they make it sound like there is no way you wont be able to get it so take out COD5 and get ready for some double XP.
FourZeroTwo's blog reads: Time to finally finish getting to 10th Prestige! I sent out the call a week or so ago asking who would be down for a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare all-nighter on the last weekend of Feb. and you guys answered the call. So many responded to the Twitter posting in fact, that we decided to make it an even bigger deal. So here’s the plan.
Starting Tuesday Feb. 24th, the Variety Map Pack will become %50 off for those of you who still need to pick it up, leading up to the promotion, I’ll also be giving out tokens to download it for free on Twitter. When the last weekend of Feb. hits, starting Friday Feb. 27th and going until Monday morning, we’ll be flipping the ol’ mighty Double XP switch one more time!
That’s not all though, I plan on pulling an All-nighter on Friday the 27th in my attempt to finally reach Level 55 10th Prestige, and I want you guys to help get me there. To do that, we’ll be adding a new playlist to the rotation. The HARDCORE HEADQUARTERS playlist will be added on Friday 27th along with Double XP for the most XP heavy sessions you will ever see. Who’s down for a little Hardcore Headquarters on Shipment?! Carnage will ensue.
The 50% off Map Pack, Hardcore Headquarters playlist and Double XP includes Xbox Live and Playstation Network!
Anyone and everyone can participate, no sign-up, no anything. Just pop in the game on Friday the 27th and play. We’ll handle the rest.
I don’t know, I have a gut feeling that 10th Prestige is a good place to be…

Have you had a kid and don't know what to name it or even expecting a child and just want a shot at some fast cash, if so you might want to think about CodeMasters offer of free stuff just for giving your kid the name Jason.
CodeMasters offer and press release: 16th February 2009
Leading videogame publisher Codemasters is embarking on a quest to re-populate the nation with Jasons.
The firm, whose videogame Rise of the Argonauts™ launched on February 6th 2009, is looking to knock Jack, Thomas, Oliver and Joshua from the top of the UK’s favourite boys names by encouraging parents to name their sons after the game’s hero.
The name ‘Jason’ is from Greek origin, meaning “healer”. It has been considered an English name since the 17th Century, yet – whilst it consistently ranks as one of the US’s most popular names – its popularity has faded in the UK over recent years, dropping down out of the top 50.
It’s now time to bring it back: Codemasters’ goal is to elevate Jason’s ranking in the end-of-year boys names, issued in December 2009.
Over the coming weeks, Codemasters will be running editorial at www.bringbackjason.com in an effort to rejuvenate the popularity of the name. The blog will look at naming and social trends as well as asking: just what has the UK got against Jasons these days?
Any parent who names their new son “Jason” will be eligible to win a year’s supply of the firm’s videogames on their chosen platform. All they have to do is fax, post or email a copy of the birth certificate to [email protected] for the opportunity to enter the prize draw. *
“These days, babies names are influenced by celebrities – and there aren’t that many famous Jasons any more,” says Richard Eddy, Director of Communications, Codemasters. “We hope our Rise of the Argonauts hero can act as a ‘virtual’ star, encouraging new parents to rejuvenate this one-great English name. Jasons, friends of Jasons, and anyone interested in onomastics should keep an eye on the blog over the coming weeks, as we document our quest to re-populate the nation with Jasons.”
Rise of the Argonauts is available now 2009 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the PC.
The campaign to bring back Jason can be followed at www.bringbackjason.com
We all knew that this classic game would have a huge fan boy buy out point but no one would have seen this game selling at this rate, never count out the nostalgia factor i guess.
JoyStiq.com reports: Man. Wow. We totally thought this one was going to be a clunker. Seriously, we gave the classic series appropriate fanfare whenever we received any news regarding it, but we were just doing it out of respect. We never thought that the Japanese game consuming populous would snatch up 86,000 copies of Street Fighter IV on its launch day alone. We were thinking it'd be more like a few hundy, maybe a thou by the weekend.
Capcom seems to be just as surprised as we are -- a community manager for the company recently reported that they were "overwhelmed by demand", and that the game had completely sold out in Japan. The only copies within the country's confines rest in a few boxes in Capcom's basement -- they'll apparently be sent out to retailers on Monday, and then snatched up with avarice usually associated with Turboman dolls.
The long wait to see if Valve would be giving away the Left 4 Dead Survival Pack is finally over and all the fans should be very happy to know this down loadable content will be costing you 0 MS points.
Here is the full SteamPowered report: February 5, 2009 — Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced a series of content and development releases for its latest title, 2008's best-selling new game property for the PC and Xbox 360, Left 4 Dead (L4D).
The first L4D DLC — dubbed the L4D Survival Pack -- is due for release this spring and introduces a new multiplayer game mode entitled, Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode . A Critic's Choice Edition of the game will be heading to retail stores this spring, and will include access to all the content introduced in the L4D: Survival Pack.
In addition, for PC gamers and aspiring developers, the first Left 4 Dead release for the Source Software Development Kit (Source SDK) will allow the creation of custom Left 4 Dead campaigns that will be discoverable via L4D's matchmaking system. The SDK update is also due for release this spring, and is free of charge to all owners of L4D on the PC.
"Since Half-Life launched in 1998, Valve has made continuous efforts to expand the offering of its products beyond what's included on the day of launch," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve. "With Half-Life and Counter-Strike, and more recently Team Fortress 2, we've learned that we're no longer making stand-alone games but creating entertainment services. With Left 4 Dead we're extending that tradition by creating additional gameplay and releasing our internal tools to aspiring developers so they may also create and distribute new Left 4 Dead experiences."
Left 4 Dead is a survival action game from Valve that blends the social entertainment experience of multiplayer games such as Counter-Strike and Team Fortress with the dramatic, narrative experience made popular in single player action game classics such as the Half-Life series of games. Released in November of 2008, L4D has earned over 25 industry awards from outlets around the world.
