DevLink v1.0 will allow Xbox 360 Development Kits to connect to a Retail\Jtag Xbox 360 via System Link. It simply runs in the background and handles all the encryption. It will remain active until you do a "Cold" reboot of your console.
**Tested on and working on XDK Flash version 9199 and 8498**
