Backup Games Using Kreon Drive and Xbox Backup Creator
Published by AccidentProne on 2009-12-19

Introduction
This tutorial will explain in detail how to Create 360 Game Disc Backup's using "XBC" Xbox Backup Creator v2.3 and (Kreon Flashed) Samsung DVD-Rom model #SH-D162c, to play on your Modded or Flashed 360.

Note: If your 360 DVD-Drive has not been Modded or Flashed with updated Firmware the Disc Created using this Tutorial Will Not Work!!!!!

Required Software:
- xbox backup creator v2.3

Required Hardware:
- Dual Layer DVD Burner - I used the Pioneer DVR-111D
- Samsung DVD-Rom Model: SH-D162c
- DVD+R Dual Layer *Verbatim* Media

Note: The SH-D162c Must be Flashed with (Kreon v0.81) Firmware to use XBC.
If your 162c does not already have Kreon v0.81 firmware installed it will not create a 360 .ISO Image!!!!!! Also the Factory Pre-installed 1.23 firmware on the 111D work's Perfect!

Once XBC is Downloaded and installed and your 162c is flashed with kreon v0.81 FirmWare, you can now Begin.

Creating the .ISO Image

1. Put your Xbox 360 Game into the 162c drive.

2. Hit the START Button and Choose a folder to save the file in.

3. Wait till COMPLETE: Remove 360 Game and Close XBC.
That's It, Backup Complete!

You should now have a folder with with 2 Files.

Burning the .ISO

1. Put one of your *Verbatim* Dual Layer Disc into the 111D, Open XBC AGAIN and click the WRITE Tab.

2. Select or Highlight the 111D in the Drop down Menu for the Optical Drive.

3. Hit Start Button, Select the File in the Folder that you just Backed up your original game in.

4. That's It! XBC Starts burning, Wait till complete, Remove Backup and Enjoy!

* You can now store your Original 360 Game Disc in a Safe Place *

This 360 Game Disc Backup method has so far been 100% successful with my setup:
Win XP Pro SP2, w/ .NET Framework 2.0, 111D set as master on End IDE ribbon slot, 162c set as Slave on Middle IDE ribbon Slot.
