When you take rival areas, the group you turffed out will at random try and take it back which means you have to stop everything to go and kill all the gang leaders before a 30 second timer starts. Which seems to popup at random. And make thing very hard.
Trying to keep control of the docks can be a nightmare when your in the middle of a battle and a 30 second timer kicks in and you still have 8 or so leaders to take down. Not managed that one yet. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

GTA SA was like that. It was fecking annoying. Sounds like a really good game though. How well does the customizing of a police car work!?

I never really played SA. I did love the other 2 GTA games tho.
I've not messed about with customising of the cars yet, i've got the cash but I want to finish taking over this area to stop the little gits trying to take it back every 20 minutes. Then i'll settle down and have a bit of a play.
I had a gang member with me for ages yesterday, giving me a helping hand watching my back. Shooting out the windows when needed, that really does work well as they do cover you well and if they get taken down you get 30 seconds to get to them to recover them. Which is quite damn handy.
However when you call in the car lady for a lift, although its handy to have her turn up you can never take control of a car again and as she drives at about 30mph EVERYWHERE... Kind of a pain in the arse and for the life of me i cannot get rid of her unless I either start a mission of get her killed.

How do you get cars? I know finishing an area will get you cars but is there another way besides that and buying them? For instance when I car jack someone can I keep that car? There is an achievment that you get if you own 50 cars is why I am asking.
yea just go to your original crib and park it in the garage. u can just stand outside of the garage and jack car and put em in. do that 50 times and u got it lol. anyway i got 15 out of 43 achievements. workin on the activities and online stuff now _________________________________________________________ XBOX

So do the 50 cars have to be different?

I've tried customizing the cop car, but it just does not seem to give you the option to do anything with it.
As for the 50 cars being different, you would have thought so. But i'm not 100% sure on that as I have 3 car the same in my lockup.. well one is a unique, but the other 2 are bog standard so I guess you might be able to fill your lockup with 50 of the same cars.
Bit pointless doing that tho. And you can add/remove cars to your lockup from any garage in the city too, not just your pad and the bloody great hummer you get given is a complete monster of a car. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Oh right. I just saw on a video somewhere (youtube?) that you could even customize the cop car. Ahwell.
you could put 50 cop cars in ur garage and ull get it. most of my cars already had like 5 of the same type already in there.
