I have spent quite a bit of money to get this design started, so if anyone has some spare cash in their paypal account please join up as a VIP on HQ, or contact me directly for our paypal info. We need to raise a little more money to help cover some costs.. I myself am puttin up $600 AU towards the facelift and many other members are contributing or have already done so.
Read more here and thanks again guys for all the support.. I'm hoping this will help all of our mobile devices too, we can access on the go! Finally, this design will be used for our upcoming MEGA SITE planet-hq.com which will cover everything. That won't be launch till mid 2014 or later.

I really like the new look. The backgrounds make the site look a lot more inviting. The navigation also looks to be much cleaner.

This looks very slick and professional. Just the right amount of content vs "white space" ratio.
Is it just a cosmetic change or is there backend changes as well?

Looking very good indeed there, fah.
I like the very clean look and accessible interface that its showing.
Sometimes the current look can come across as quite cluttered, so yes this is definitely the way to go in my modest opinion.
