I am waiting for a new 360 bundled with Kinect first. My Elite is great but I was thinking of getting a 250 GB drive. Instead I rather get the new super cool 360 and Kinect in one box. I am going to wait to see how much it cost. Ive seen reports that say it will be $150. I don't know if I am willing to pay that much for a system add on. I don't think a lot of people will buy it at that price

My only gripe now is that the games are $60 bucks. Seems steep for what they are. Yes you are buying fun but a game like Fallout 3 is worth $60 at launch not some 20 MB game that took the 2 months to do.
I am not knacking the Kinect games as they look to be fun and for family, just seems over priced to me.
I guess for main stream it will be good. It is Microsoft's way of recouping the losses on the failed 360's and the billions they spent trying to make the first 360 a success. .... but the hype for Kinect is strong. Every famous person in the world will get one which means so will main stream.
I really like the whole concept of Kinect. Just want the basic games to be like $30. If they come out with in depth game for Kinect then fine, $60 works for me. Wel, I did it. I just pre-ordered Kinect plus 2 Kinect games. I decided my 360 Elite is good enough so won't be getting the new 360 at htis time.

I couldn't agree more man. I was pretty interested to start but now im pretty much sold.. lol.. Can't wait for more games to come out actually.. Star wars looks great.

Lol it's a totally different story over at G4. Pretty much all of the microsoft and x-play boards are bitching about how Microsoft focused way to much on the Kinect and how they think it's a complete waste of money. _________________________________________________________

Of course, PS3/other fanboys are all over the place trying to bash it. I've seen them. It is not hard to spot them either. Some are just hard core gamers worried that their game way of life may be changed. That won't happen unless they want it too
And so what does it matter if Microsoft focused so much on it? They want it to be a success. Are other sorts of gaming on the 360 suffering? There is no shortage of great games coming out that have nothing to do with Kinect. E3 was loaded with top notch non Kinect games.
So their points are basicly mute to me. When all great things come out so to does the hate. No one has to have it. It is not forced on anyone. Don't want it? don't get it.
Yes it is aimed at main stream but it is the main stream with vast numbers that make something like this a success. Then hard core players will benefit as cool and unique gaming is created. The controller will be around for some time to come (like forever), no need to fear because quite frankly certain types of games will not work well using the body as a controller.
I just think Kinect offers so much more than just the main stream family fun games, it is not funny.
