btw, just lookin at it again. and thinking how cool it would be to resin cast. LOL, ok ok, not the job for every day joe modder, but at the same time not impossible, and you could end up with a pretty sweet lookin transparent / semi transparent 360 case, even beter if you can get the inside lit..., anyone think modgod might have something to satisfy here??
Unfortunately to test it id need a 360 to make mould from and that reqires money and a very early preorder, neither of which i have at the moment. but if any other modder out there fancies trying a fibreglass case mod but lacked the inspiration, well now you have it

Now that's talent! Very fine looking piece of machinery.
Only way it would have been better is with a blue background and a great white prowling the sides of it.....
Oooooooop then it would be mine.
Course since I don't even have a 360, it's only a pipedream for the time being. _________________________________________________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

How many coats did you use? Also roughly how many cans of paint did you need? I'm thinking of using a chamelon(sp?) style paint for mine, going to wait for the 90 days to pass just incase something happens before then. Might as well milk the 90 day warranty. _________________________________________________________

I only bought 1 can of primer, 1 red, 1 yellow, and 1 clear coat. I used 1 coat of primer for all of the work and about 3-5 coats of paint depending on the part, then a few coats of clear coat to finish. I'm glad to see you guys approve of it. Thanks for the thumbs up. It makes it worth while to see that people appreciate the hard work and nervousness putting it back together, lol.
Thanks guys,

Looks good man!
sjohn- I would be a little hesitant with the Kameleon paint! I have had many xboxs turn out great with it, but then a few days later they had cracks where the paint seperated, and I use an airbrush for thin coats so it wasnt like I was dumping it on. Maybe it would work better on the 360 since it is metal?? If I where you I would test it on some other metal case first. I ended up getting a case of it for free because the company claimed it was probably an old lot, but I had the same result. However I did test it with flat black engine paint as primer and that minimized the size of the cracks but it still was obvious.....just my 2 cents.... _________________________________________________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

Thanks for the tip, I've decided against going with the Kameleon anyways, thought it'd be much cooler to go with a "throw back" design, here's my MSPaint mockup haha.
I know a few things are a little messed up, but this was just from memory, so not too bad really. I'll enjoy this setup, and it should get a lot of attention Good thing I won't have to blow the disks off on this one haha.
