A couple of additional issues. I can't get Media Connect to work with 360. I've read a million posts concerning this issue and tried all applicable solutions... no luck.

I have a bad lag playing Forza on 360 in both 1080i and 460p OFFLINE. I have not tried it online as of yet as I don't see the posibility of a lag improvement online. The gameplay is constantly and consistantly jumpy or jerky (at least the jumpyness is consistant). No large jump just a consistant series of very small jumps. Very irritating and ruins gameplay. I tried PGR3 right after this and it ran perfectly, so no aparent overheating issue is at fault. I will play Forza on orignal Xbox in future until M$ offers patched emulator.

Mine has been running trouble free except for the controller losing connection after it sits for a bit. This does not happen all the time but occasinally I have to push the sync buttons.

As for my xbox. I have had no issues with it since I got it on release day. But then if thats true about keeping it vertical, Thats why. Its been upright this whole time. Also, I couldnt seem to get the controller to work for me on my PC. I searched for the driver and installed it but still no function. so Oh well. Last about the media connect issues Make sure the service Universal Plug and Play Device Host is running. If not then it wont work. Oh and the controller will sleep after a specific amount of inactivity to conserve battery.

Post subject: Trouble with GUN

Hi All. Although I voted Works like a charm in the poll above this thread, I ran into my first problem yesterday, after almost a week of playing. I was about halfway thru GUN and as a cutscene was triggered, the game completely froze. I have to power off and on again and then re-sign in to access my save game, which fortunately was fine.

I have not played much with PGR3 yet so I can't comment on that game, which often seems to be the cause of trouble. No problems in Kameo, Call of Duty 2 (THE game to impress your guests with the 360) or Perfect Dark Zero so far. I should mention I have the core system without HDD (for now at least). And my XBOX is vertical, yes.

Mine has been horizontal, on top of my XBox, and no problems so far. The controllers are supposed to sleep, but I dont think you should have to re-sync them. They do not require that all the time. Its a pain if you set it down and then go do something come back, turn it back on and have to go to the 360 and push the button to re-sync.

I have played while it was vertical and horizontal. Never had a problem. although I have 2 small fans on either side of the shelf running whenever I play. As for the controller, never had a prob with that either just have to turn it on and thats it.

All works fine but Need for Speed Most wanted however I think that its in the coding of the game. Nothing else has locked up. <---- edited was caused by scratches and smudges on the dvd... All fixed now...

Myxbox 360 has been working fine on 360 games and most Xbox games except Ninja Gaiden Black. Its runs fine until you try running through an area like Ryu's Village, then it gets kinda choppy until you slow down. My guess is that its the emulator for the game. Also I have the console vertical.

* 360 Works Perfectly

Ive had my NTSC 360 premium for around 3 hrs now.. hehhe lol.. (hobbs is excited).. And ive been toying about since then without a problem.. Ive used LIVE, played 2 games, played some xbox 1 compatible titles and not a issue.

Im planning on leaving it running all day until i go to bed late..
Its like 40 degrees celcius here today so if this baby was going to OVERHEAT it would have already.. Its fine..

If things change i will definatley let you all know..

So my 360 info is:
- Horiztonal (at the moment)
- running for 3hrs so far
- Plays Perfectly not a problem..
- Not as loud as i thought it would be.. Very quite really. (either that or im deaf).

I know what you mean.. I just booted PAL FORZA MOTORSPORTS in my 360 xbox and the intro videos were all choppy.. You could tell lit was the emulation.. Also when i boots a xbox 1 game you can see the poor emulation anyway.. Especially on the HDTV i have..

I turned on my xbox 360 one time and after actually getting into the race (PGR 3), I started seeing red and blue dots. Than it got worse and everything had red and blue outlines. So I turned it off and it fixed itself.

I have also seen quite a few times where the picture seems to get horizontal bars all over. I tried moving the xbox 360 to get more air and I haven't seen the problem again so far....

I also had one time where there was no video. I had sound just no video. Again turned off xbox and rebooted and never saw the problem again so far....

Of course, what do you expect from a M$ product.
