I would try to get it fixed by calling CS.

If not, go on ebay and just buy the guitar.

That sucks man. By "CS" he means Customer Service. haha I still use my original Guitar Hero 2 controller believe it or not. It's been really good till a few months back my whammy bar decided to crap out. So I decided to just take it out completely. Well the strum bar has like a little rocker thing under the bar itself that's held in by 2 screws. If you decide to take it apart for "do it yourself" job, check this first. I would say that if its broken, try searching the net for the broken part or a broken guitar to use for parts. Hope it helps bro.

Later,

SiK

Well goodluck man,

I don't think you need your receipt if you purchase it within 30 days or so.. But if its longer then you will need it no doubt..

My drumkit was a nightmare. They have just sent me my 3rd one under warranty... I won't even mention my guitar.. I didnt bother with warranty for that. It just strums whenever it feels like it! I still have my old GH3 guitar anyway.

let us know how you go,

hobbs

Same, I still use my guitar hero 2 guitar because the very first day I got my rock band 2 guitar it didn't work right. The yellow button has to be pressed really hard or it won't register as being pressed.

yeah im getting fed up with activision, im probably just going to have to get another guitar, probably old one(gh2 or 3), i want to get rock band and the other guitar hero games now! ive been blown away by guitar hero, i can honestly say its helped me learn some songs, and gives my fingers a good work out for when i play real guitar, its helping my co ordination for picking the right fingers! after playing beat it on guitar hero i got the tab and it took minutes to learn the track, instead of my usual days and hours! lol!

just to update you all. I got my 3rd replacement GHWT drumkit and have only had it a few weeks.. Played it like 20-30 songs. Now the new pedal is broken..

I seriously suggest anyone who always wants a drumkit to work get a ROCK BAND drumkit for sure.. I have Rock Band drumkit here (which scarface hooked me up with) and a replacement pedal and it will never break.. GHWT been out 6 months.. and its been back 3 times. What a joke for the money!

they have a serious manufacturer problem with those kits.. hopefully a v2 will be out soon.

till then save your money.

update: after a lengthy wait, 1 rma form 1 very cutting email i have finally received my replacement guitar! i have not had ne communications from customer services about returning my broken guitar....soooo im going to keep it repair it and then ill have 2 for the price of 1! new guitar is all in working order, it feels very different to the one i had originally the fret buttons seem very fresh and easy to press compared to old guitar, which is very pleasent and also the strum bar seems to be in full working order - finally after purchasing this game weeks ago i may be able to play it properly! as the first guitar was pretty much faulty out of the box this has disheartened me greatly from playing and seeing as i paid £75 (a top dollar price really i got ripped of!) i think i derserve to have a free guitar i may not even be able to enjoy this game due to all the stress ive had because of it!
