Anyone played The Godfather for the 360 yet? Just interested in your views of it.
I've been waiting for this for some time, even though i've played and completed the Xbox version.
So I was expecting something a little more special. It looks like they have tweaked the effects ie the fire etc.. But thats it GFX and Sound wise, in fact the sound is probably worse with random cutouts. Kind of surprised me as I thought it would look and sound a lot better.
Mmm, so has anything changed with the gameplay? Well, yes.. Now for each mission you play there is a hidden money sack to find (if you can) which will give you for example a £2k bonus at the end of the mission.
This makes the game more easy to play as you get a lot more money coming in straight off the mark. Silly idea.
Another tweak is that you now have extra missions (as an option sometimes) when trying to take a shop over. This is a good extra as it actually adds something to the game. Instead of just throwing the shop keeper out the window you can now do him a favour instead and then if completed you get a very high monthly income.
And the final thing i've found is that you can now hire a Hitman or one of your crew to ride with you. Although they don't make it as simple as in Saints Row. You actually have to get promoted to be able to buy them and they seem to range from £2,500 down to £1,000 depending on how high you are in the ranks.
And I think i've seen (so far) one new car. Ohh and before i forget there is a twat of a bug in the game at the moment which will in the end cost you money !!
You can upgrade your weapons and as such you find a guy selling the upgrade and purchase it. Well EA have changed this in the 360, you still go upto him to buy the upgrade, but at the moment all you get is a nasty error message come up on screen.
Why I hear you ask, easy because EA are going to make you buy the upgrades with YOUR CASH!! Not the in-game cash. In November they will be adding the items to the Marketplace for you to purchase them and until then all you get is an error.
This not only compromises the gameplay but ultimately is EA being money grabbing twats.

So what do I think about it? Its not Next-Gen, far from it but if you've never played it. Might be worth it, but your better off with Saints Row tbh.

Why do people still buy EA games, all they do is rehash last years effort, make you pay more for it and then charge you for items which you use in the game.
Unfortunatly this is one of the downsides of the Marketplace and as long as people keep paying for themes, addons and pictures the developers/puplishers will keep charging.
I personally don't pay for anything other than XBLA games (oh and to change my Gamer Tag to HQ eltsha ). _________________________________________________________

EA do make some very good games tho.
Its just this every increasing Marketplace demand for your money thats the bad thing. Take Prey for example, they just released a load of new MP maps and Characters and all for free. Now thats how to look after the end consumer.
Then you look at games like Chrome Hounds, bloody hell! Check the downloads for that ! They charge for EVERYTHING, its a blatant rip-off.
I think software houses need to realise that we are not all willing to just sit here and pay over and over again for a product we have already brought. Now when I use to game on my PC I never had to pay a penny for patches, new levels, bigger guns.. Its all free and still is.
The worse thing about the Marketplace is that software houses are allowed to rip you off by not even showing you what it is your downloading ! Most of the games just show a generic banner image. Thats all wrong, very wrong, you don't go into your local games shop with your eyes shut and just buy the first thing you grab do you?
All downloads should be made by T&C's to display what it is your buying.
Hopefully when the buzz about online gaming and downloads in the front room wears off we will start to see some sense come back into the market.
