Well, can you tell us the following please?

What Xbox 360 DVD Rom Drive you have
What type of SATA bus are you using (is the bus on your motherboard, or on a PCI card)
What chipset does your SATA bus use

Yes,

The more info the better.. Smile
More then likely you may find your bus is not comptible..

Also try disabling all other drives inyour pc's bios..
Ive heard this causes some issues sometimes.

With it disabled it should work if that is the problem.

let us know how you go.

dont be scared to post.. The more info the better.

Alright, with TS Drives, you have to use a certain floppy (I'll PM you a link), start up your computer, with the Xbox360 Drive turned on, but the SATA cable disconnected, wait till your computer boots from the floppy to the A:/ Prompt, then plug it in and run the program command.

I wrote a tutorial on it, here: http://www.360-hq.com/xbox-tutorials-31.html

OOPS, sorry, the file I sent you a link to expired, i'm PM'ing you a mirror.
