Has anyone tried the new demo of sonic, if that’s the best they can do then they should give up now. Yes it's fast (very fast), but having a homing attack that has a 50/50 chance of you shooting off the edge and killing yourself is just frustrating.

I use to like sonic, I can remember playing that game till the early hours of the morning night after night. I brought the mega collection for the original Xbox and I even liked sonic adventure (great console the Dreamcast) but the games seem to be getting progressively worse.

Is it just me, am I getting to old for sonic? :lol

I played the demo, it is very reminiscent of Sonic Adventure, but the camera and controls, arent quite tuned yet. Apparently the Demo is the one from E3 only shortened. I ran off the cliff over and over, and the camera is VERY slow, and I dont like pusing left for the camera to go right and vice versa. But the theme song and opening is amazing. It should shape up to be a great title.

Yep I played it too and I was thinking it was just cause Im an old gamer and still prone to using the analog stick like a joystick,,,,, all or nothing. Very Happy I seemed to have better control when I used it like an actual analog. I was also having trouble with the speed boost platforms pushing me off between the corner and jump ramp and killing me as well.

I think with more sensetivity on the camera and less on the movement this game would improve alot.

The game was horrible from what I played, the controls are extremely limited, not including the horrible camera controls that will make the best of us sick. There are really only two real buttons, jump and attack, Sonic can not roll up into a little ball like he did before, the game is simple, at best, and there were many graphical glitches, for instance: When I was sliding down the water stream section, I jumped up to get a rainbow ring, and it switched what direction I was sliding in, I tried turning around, but I ended up crashing the game, my character would not stop spinning, and after about 4 seconds, my Xbox360 crashed, but, luckily, left no artifacts on my GPU.

I know this is only the Demo, but I was expecting much more, I hope the actual game improves from what it is now.

I agree, the demo is a bit crap. I had the same issue as you traviss only I never crashed the game, just the little git got stuck. The camera control is far far to slow to be able to be any use for a game that runs that quickly.

But i'm not to bothered as its not my type of game and won't be buying it. Razz
